Kind of up and down on the match, though think mostly come down on the side of a good bloodbath but sort of forgettable on the whole. Santana getting injured probably was part of it though, things happen. Do really like the finish. Clever way to build dissension between Eddie and Claudio while still giving the faces the much-needed win. I think there was supposed to be more of that after the match, but Eddie's back and the injury to Santana put that all on hold. Jericho and the other cat were still up there, and BCC and Ortiz just ignored them, add in the long celebration and I think there was supposed to be more but injuries stopped it.

I can already tell this will be my strongest memory of the match, just surreal and insane to see. Either that or Cool Hand Ange hanging upside down outside of the ring with zero explanation how he got out there. My son and I both when they cut to the hard cam shot - in stereo - “How’d he get THERE?!”

I enjoyed it but there is something to be said for doing TOO much and I think this match went a little overboard in excess almost leaving nothing for future iterations of the match. All that was missing was a flaming table..which is what I thought was gonna happen when the rubbing alcohol was brought in. Given Jericho’s fireballs and Kingston nearly trying to set him on fire in Anarchy at the Arena, surprised there wasn’t any fire involved. They seem really reluctant to actually use fire in a match, maybe because of how last time they did it Cody wound up extra crispy.

Started off a little rough, but once Mox got in I thought it really picked up and ended up being great. Thats fair, last years had the great opener with Dax and Sammy but that match was hurt badly by the commercial breaks and the ending that was mocked by everyone on social media. They did a better make good on that for this year with the Sammy mega desk spot.

I looked away from the TV for a bit and just assumed I missed what happened to him, it's even better now

I definitely liked it more than the first one. It felt as though this one had more "personality" like BCC toying with JAS, as they could not yet go for the win.
Sucks for Santana though - dude wanted out in September, and now he may have to reup for some steady income while he recovers from this injury.

I was not a fan of how Santana almost looked like he was phoning it in the last few weeks, but tonight he looked motivated as f*** and maybe he was getting over some things. Like I know it has been a rough year personally for him too Which is why something like this really sucks. The dude's year essentially just got worse if he's out a long time. But I am sure AEW will take care of him. Like imagine if he left and then this had happened to him... you never know, keep your vibes good and your bridges open imo.

I'm still trying to figure out how he got there, I assume someone shoved him through the pole...

I know they set it up in the video package but that random two second Ruby Soho cameo was still really weird.

Was he planning on leaving AEW? I must’ve missed this news. Sucks the timing if that’s true. Hope he has a speedy recovery and it isn’t as bad as it seemed.

I know they set it up in the video package but that random two second Ruby Soho cameo was still really weird. It's been subtle but she's shown to be someone who gives a damn about him. I remember she was the first one to get to him after the fireball for example.

He'd been counting down on Twitter will September, this was apparently him waiting his contract out. Other rumors were he had a falling out with Ortiz. The last few weeks had him not showing up and then when he did he looked like he was going through the motions This was the first week where he looked like his mind was right and he was dialed in, and he blew his knee out two spots in, I can't even imagine...
