The fans who followed Lashley's Impact run knew this man was good. He literally became an amazing wrestler for those few years with MVP by his side.
And while he first came back in 2018-2019, the results were lukewarm. The Lashley fans who saw him in Impact knew he could be so much more. A big deal. An amazing star and a main eventer.
Then in 2020 it started to click. And now in 2022 he's arguably their biggest star today with Cody out of action on the babyface side. So has WWE finally booked him above his Impact run, where we can say, this, is his defining run in pro wresting?

Putting MVP with him will go down as one of the best decisions of the last 10 years at least.

Putting MVP with him will go down as one of the best decisions of the last 10 years at least. We may slag on him a bit, but I wonder if Pritchard went to bat for Bobby and put him with MVP again. WWE doesn't like to use ideas that they didn't create. So I totally did not expect them to put him and MVP together. And then to have him feud with Drew and that being a wrestlemania match too? Impact lives!

Yes and no. They've definitely used him so much more effectively this run, but at the same time, Lashley's made Lashley a big deal. He came back to WWE a much more mature and compelling wrestler, with far better presence than his first run. A lot of that goes to Impact, mostly for his second tenure there, but also just how he carries himself.

I thought when it was revealed that Lana had been cheating on him with Liv, it was all over for him. But he came back stronger than ever, dumped Lana and got with MVP. I think I speak for everyone when I say we're proud of him.

To an extent
TNA/Impact era Lashley was a f***ing beast but his Hurt Business to now his singles run can be said to have matched that. He was more dominant than Roman when he was WWE champ as Roman cheated more and now as a babyface he is truly loved. WWE is getting the presentation right with him but I def say the saving grace is more so MVP than anything. He made them see what they were missing with Lashley and once he got rolling he hasn't been stopped
Walking Armageddon and The Almighty I think are def equals

He went from being one of the most loathsome acts in 2007, to one of the absolute best.

He's big but he could be even bigger.
He should've gone toe to toe with Lesnar.
Instead he got battered and looked like he got lucky against him.
He also needs MVP in my book. But I can see why that can't happen when he's a face.

He’s been booked really well for a while now, but the fans have gotten super into him in the last couple of months.
I’m not sure what’s all that different except that he’s the most over babyface on the roster right now.

He's definitely one of the most over acts they have. I just wonder where they go from here. He should be in the mix for the person to dethrone Roman. Hell, he teased it a couple months ago but then it was dropped. But he should at least have a big feud with him.

Was Heyman executive director or whatever at the time? No I think Heyman’s reign over Raw with Bobby was during the awful parts of his run. I’d imagine it’s Prichard and Vince mostly. Prichard is also a huge fan of Riddle, and we see that playing out now as well with his huge push.

He’s a legitimate top-tier main eventer now.

I guess if you people who watch week to week say so, but in an absolute sea of generic guys, he's the most generic to me.
He seems to me to be one of the guys who, WWE feels, giving him a nickname, The Almighty, is a replacement for having an actual personality.
Then again, I only watch like once every couple of three months, so what do I know?

A lot of that goes to Impact, mostly for his second tenure there, but also just how he carries himself. His biggest problem the first time was his absolute lack of presence. Which is astounding because it should have been easy for a guy his size to look intimidating. But he just wasn't. I always go back to a promo where all he had to do was say No... and look intimidating. He said it and stared in a way that was came off less intimidating badass and more Petulant 8 year old. He's carried himself a hell of a lot better now then he did back then. Though teaming him with MVP (and the Hurt Business in general) also greatly helped him out as well in the WWE. That said he has likely hit his ceiling in the WWE, as he is clearly not the person tapped to beat Roman, and they are terrible at keeping people's momentum when they aren't currently in the main event plans

Impact made Lashley to a big deal and WWE almost messed him up when he came back until someone went “Hey, remember how Impact made him a big deal?” and just did what they did.

It felt like wwe was kicking and screaming on avoiding using lashley to his strengths because it wasn't a wwe creation. It wasn't until they had no choice to pair him with MVP and the Hurt business it felt like he finally clicked.
Though I liked Bobby being paired with Lio Rush just didn't think it was booked right...

I mean they certainly had a choice, they could’ve not booked the whole MVP/ Hurt Business storyline/character. I give them credit for that.
