There's no such thing as an objective rating for a wrestling match, and this is comparing one person's opinion to a review aggregator.

Who do you think gives the most objective ratings for matches? I don't think 'objective' means what you think it does. All reviews by their very nature are subjective.

I'm trying to think of what an objective wrestling review would be. "18 punches were thrown. This is more than 12 from their previous encounter. An improvement of 50 percent."

Objective reviews of wrestling matches don't exist. I mean... Bryan Alvarez's review of Sharmell vs Jenna Morasca is fairly objective.

Just like with pretty much all art, it’s subjective. Meltzer and Cagematch are good guides in that if they say it’s good match, then chances are it is. But the only opinion that matters to you if a match is good or not, is you.

I don’t get caught up in match ratings. Either I like a match or I didn’t, simple as that.

Tetris on Game Boy or Tetris 99, what is the most objective way to play Tetris?

I don’t get caught up in match ratings. Either I like a match or I didn’t, simple as that. Reviews and ratings only matter if you find a reviewer whose tastes match your most of the time. I read detailed reviews in case they noticed something I missed or had a different perspective on something that may make me want to watch or revisit something. But just a rating doesnt interest me.

Neither. My opinions on wrestling are the most reliable.

Too many people look at reviews as validation of their own opinions, not as a guide for if something is good or not. And that goes for all sorts of things like movies, games, shows, etc.

I forgot that Cagematch even compiled reviews because I've been using it to figure out questions like "how many matches did Jonathan Coachman have altogether" for so damn long now.
55. The answer is 55.

Objective reviews of wrestling matches don't exist. That's why we need machines. Can I suggest this one?

Like… what?!It was probably not so much a "match" as just faces goofing on him since he'd have had heat, like wasn't he heel by then?
