“Then the storm broke, and the dragons danced.”
I can’t wait for season 2.

That was an awesome episode.
That final scene was fantastic--the shot of the big dragon flying over the top was chilling. And Aemond is an excellent villain.

If I was Luke as soon as I got one look at that giant ass dragon parked outside I would have got back on my dragon gone back to Dragonstone and said sorry mom I ain't about getting killed by my 1 eyed psychopath of an uncle to maybe secure house Baratheon.
But real talk if house Baratheon was just angling for a marriage pact for one of his daughters why didn't Luke go oh right I have 3 other brothers who aren't betrothed. Idk maybe throw in how the blacks have way more dragons and how the next storm lord could be a dragon rider giving house Baratheon great power

Luke was scared to even go to Storm's End and try to be a man/agent of the crown. It's likely he had what he was gonna say to Boros memorized and didnt have any idea how to improv or react once Boros reacted the way he did.
Also, even his mother believed he'd be warmly welcomed so he was woefully unprepared from the get go

I also love that the idea that dragons having a mind of their own takes away the one thing Targaryans use to make themselves feel special.
Take that away, they’re not “closer to God’s than men”, they’re pretentious silver-haired weirdos whose moms and sisters are the same person.
Just like real royal families.

and ANOTHER misinfo ... other than that, and i mean this most sincerely ... DO NOT PISS OFF VHAGAR!!! rhaenerys would have been told by daemon that AEMOND killed lucerys, not that big bastard! just like the whole viserys telling the WRONG WOMAN about the song of ice and fire that sets off this battle for westeros ... the passing of the page was either a hand of friendship directly by alicent ... or giving it back ... bloody otto YOU'LL GET YOURS!!! daemon is itching to get stuck into him as for the ending WOW, and if anyone says it was too bloody DARK ... thunder and lightning and dragon bits, poor arrax though, but let's face it he spat in THEIR FACE first in this! their whole fight has been fascinating HOWEVER lucerys will (might) survive, and become the inventor of parachutes ... wonder if he'll find himself among some rather rough horse riders ... might have some teeth marks though, certainly not as fashionable as an emerald eye ... sea snake HELLOOOO that beginning though, and thankfully i'd finish eating, horrifying ... and of course rhaenyra NOT wanting to end up like her mother aemma, and being all "stiff-lipped" and such the face-to-face with her and daemon was wonderfully lit, could literally FEEL the anger oozing from him they might have more dragons, but just don't in between them, the'll deal with it their own way ... probably with a christmas edition of strictly come dancing dragons not an action packed series, this is like chess really ... second series though might be more that rock-em sock-em robots chess ... oh and happy birthday phil daniels tomorrow, and he does say that a dragons mouth is a ... erm ... perhaps not! don't think vhagar would get much from him another brilliant piece of casting, he lit up the scenes he was in ... like vhagars FACE!!! ... and now i have to go somewhere on an unrelated matter, i hear some distant and not ominous rumbling in the distance ...

When she made them swear they wouldn't fight, he called her "mom".

I think Aemond will face a smilair choice in Season 2 they othere characters in the series have had. A lot of characters receive nicknames indicative of their reputations. Some fairly, some not. Think “Kingslayer”, “The Imp”, “The Little Bird”, “No One”, “Lord Snow”, “Theon Turncloak” etc. You can now add “Aemond Kinslayet” to that list.
Each of those characters had to decide if they want to lean in to those nicknames, or fight against them and build something better. So what will Aemond do? Embrace it and become the villain everyone will think he is, or try to “Goldenhand The Just” it and try to rewrite his story. Safe money is on the former.

Yeah, based upon his reaction while he is out his damn mind, he is not a full on psychopath "yet". There was a look of remorse on his face as far as he wanted to hurt him but not outright kill him. However, could the look of remorse simply been oh shit I f**ed up and knowing he will be in trouble for it I expect him to just go full villainy with it and use it to his advantage. This will either drive him over the deep end or have him be this inbetween character. He was already basically becoming Daemon as far as the TV audience gravitating to him

I don't know, I think the anime-villain-like crazy person with the scar and an eyepatch covering a sapphire glass eye who flies a winged nuclear weapon with a mind of its own might turn things around.

To note, in the books, he was fully planning on killing Luke once they left and enjoyed doing so.

To note, in the books, he was fully planning on killing Luke once they left and enjoyed doing so. The books was also a history book written by a Maester that was bias against Aemond. Thats what GRRM told the creators that they can play around with the story because of the history book narrative.

In the book his almost comically one dimensional (which probably can't be helped in a fictional history text where his story is covered along with everyone else over like 200 pages). I find him a lot more interesting in the show. He's still dangerous, but he isn't a cackling mad edgelord.

Book!Aemond was basically what if Joffrey was A. actually a competent swordsman and B. also had a flying Godzilla.

Thats what GRRM told the creators that they can play around with the story because of the history book narrative. Not just that but, all the book says is that eyewitnesses saw them disappeared into the sky on their dragons, there was a burst of fire, and then Arrax and Luke’s bodies washed ashore 3 days later. There was no way anyone can know for sure what happened in the storm.

I also refuse to believe Ewan Mitchell is 25.
He’s using the same stuff Melisandre used to look young and he’s actually 300.
