The Miz is a fantastic example of how in wrestling, 2+2 does not always equal 4.
Kevin Owens is, by most accounts I'd imagine, a better wrestler than the Miz. The Miz had MUCH better matches with AJ Styles. I also don't really picture Owens having anywhere near as good of matches with Logan Paul.
It's not unique, really. Booker T and Batista were both perfectly capable of having great matches, but you'd be forgiven for thinking they weren't if you watched them wrestle each other in agonizing bore-fests. Two above average wrestlers doesn't always equal great matches. Mr. Perfect vs HBK is another prime example.
Miz is a guy who seems to shine when he's against people who have a whole lot of shit to get in, and it's there where he shows that he has more to offer than you might initially expect from him.

Nothing more I can add to his merits that haven't been mentioned already, however, I think if only 1992 Bret Hart could somehow have a match with Miz, that would be the instant in-ring classic that's missing.

I don’t know how Triple H feels about him, but I suspect Stephanie is quite fond of him.

He's the most versatile guy on the roster that can fill any role and fit in anywhere on the card. His style may not be exciting, but he's a safe worker whose style lends itself to longevity

Just wanna say after tonight that the Miz/Ciampa duo has been great since it went from a random henchman thing to a mutual respect between them. Like I can totally believe that these two would be freaks about eachother.

Plus…come on, Ciampa, a dude who knows a thing or two about amazing tag matches against the Usos? Gimme, please. I’d like that extremely much, thank you very much.

I felt for the 1st couple years of the smackdown live era he should have had a run as wwe champion. He & AJ were carrying that show and he deserved it but they decided to have him lose to Ziggler. He never really touched that level again. He was easily the MVP of the brand for those years. Nobody would have batted an eye if he won the title. Had KofiMania not happened, Face Miz taking down Bryan would have f***ing ruled I don't know how many people know or remember this, but they ran Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz as a dark match on the Smackdown/205 Live after Survivor Series 2018 when Bryan had just turned and Miz was turning face teaming with Shane McMahon. And even though the match was just a five minute nothing that ended in a DQ, what they did f***ing ruled. They completely swapped roles, and since Miz had spent the last few years poaching Bryan's moves like the "It Kicks," it was completely surreal to watch Miz getting a standing ovation and Yes chants using Bryan's offense on Bryan. And looking back, that could have been a killer Mania match had it been in the cards.

I think it was the same day when he and Maryse had a promo in French and she was just giving him THOSE EYES Can you believe it took WWE almost another eight years to actually put them together on-screen?

The best compliment I can give The Miz is he's such a damn good heel that he can get anyone over if there's a chance of seeing him get his ass kicked. See Damian Mizdow and Alex Riley.

I mean let's be honest, when WWE wants to get someone over they get paired with the Miz either as a partner or an opponent. The only thing that kind of failed ish was John Morrison's most recent return.

It's not an accident that Logan Paul and Bad Bunny received so much praise for their matches. Miz checks pretty much every box for a midcard heel.
Loses and immediately gets his heat back Shows his ass and makes babyfaces look great Puts pretty much anyone over that he's working with Can work the crowd into hating him both wrestling and talking.

The Miz is one of those guys who may not have five star matches on his resume. But he's a very safe and reliable worker that you can trust with a whole breadth of talent. Unless you're diving out of teh ring and he is supposed to catch you... (I know that was just a couple of times, but weren't they like really close together?)

The Miz to me is not the best in the ring and is really good at getting other talent over not to mention good on promos. I would not build the company around him or would call him the greatest thing since slice bread, but if you need a star to have a good match with, Miz is up there on that list. He's solid and consistent.

If this was Vince I would see Miz turning on Ciampa next week because he’s ‘jealous’.
With HHH in charge I have more faith this won’t happen. I kind of like this combo now.

Miz has done more than enough in this biz that I’d actually like to see him be the one to take out Roman. A taking a beat down and not giving up and finally winning could be the biggest pop Miz will hear and it would be totally deserved. See, here’s the thing. The last person to actually win a feud with Roman Reigns? The Miz, when he won back his IC title from Roman at RAW 25. There is actually some logic to it, but it needs to be Roman picking the fight, because Roman wants to get his win back, have him NEED to prove that point by crushing Miz. I went and looked it up, Miz pinned Roman again the next week, then the only pinfall win Roman has over Miz since is in a tag match on Valentines Day 2020 (Reigns/Bryan v Miz/Morrison), over two years later. EDIT: As a matter of fact, The Miz is the LAST person to win a title from Roman as Brock retained at Mania and GRR.
