I feel like every episode of Rampage lately has at least one or two super weird things that if I do watch I'm caught off guard by the bizarreness (say...random guy Zack Clayton showing up to challenge Hook) or if I don't watch and read about the weird stuff afterwards it sounds maybe fake but also like Anyone else feeling the weird vibes™ from Rampage lately

It helps if it feels a little different from Dynamite.

It's season 4 of NXT where you throw shit at a wall. Kinda miss the days where there would be a bit of reason to watch compared to it being a televised Dark.

Tony’s excuse for “not having enough TV time” to feature say, more women’s matches, or the incredibly stacked midcard. But then he books shows like last night?
Not helping your case there Tony.

tbh I like the idea of creating some sort of mixed tag division being exclusive to Rampage, Skye looked very competent last night.

Booking a one hour show is tough when you have a giant roster and you are walking the fine line of getting wrestlers on TV, but keeping compelling storylines moving. I believe them when they say they don't want it to be a B show- but it's hard to book it as anything else. Their TV partner isn't going to fall in love with the idea of booking the Punk/Moxley run up on Friday nights at 10 rather than in prime time in the middle of the week.

I used to say it felt like a more important version of Heat but now it just feels like Heat. It’s kind of weird but maybe this was the plan all along and this is how TK wanted it to settle?
I also see the sentiment online a lot that in order to follow the main storylines, you only really have to watch Dynamite & the PPV’s and again..maybe that’s by design 🤷

I like the idea of Rampage becoming more of a weird and experimental show to see what sticks and what doesn't. It's still a fun watch.

I don't profess to know the nuances of TK's booking philosophy and what decides what goes on which show when, but I feel like outside of the Impact Zone Universal Studios Dark tapings which have clearly been skewing more developmental slash tryouts for a while (which is fine), anything that's done in front of a paying audience should be approached as just that instead of "well this is only going to be on Rampage, this is only going to be on Elevation..."
Like, obviously to a certain extent yeah you need to save your big money matches for Dynamite opening and closing and Rampage main events (especially when Rampage is taped after Dynamite), but they just need to lose the idea that "well we can't put this angle on Elevation because nobody'll see it" because it's a damn chicken or egg scenario when you look at it that way.
I'll be very curious once Kenny is back, if there's any subtle changes to booking (especially on the womens' side) because it definitely felt like even with the EVPs allegedly relinquishing their booking authority, he was still having an influence on TK past just suggesting things.

We will have to wait until All Out to see the noticeable changes tbh, right now with only 3 weeks ago just wrap up Rosa and Jade reigns.

I like the idea of Rampage becoming more of a weird and experimental show to see what sticks and what doesn't. It's still a fun watch. I think this approach is fine but it needs a strong main event to anchor it. Usually it does but whenever it doesn't it feels inconsequential.

I hope Rampage only gets weirder
I hope wrestlers start going on actual Rampages, and start destroying tiny cities built around the ring, like Kaiju Big Battel!

I have just gotten to the point where I completely skip it because it seems to really mean nothing. AEW is an interesting follow when you only have Dynamite to gauge the product on. Not that it is all bad or anything just so much lost in translation

Rampage doesn't know how many years on Earth it's got left. It's gonna get real weird with it.

I think it should get even weirder.
It should turn into a live-action version of the video game series Rampage and have wrestlers fighting in kaiju suits.

I wish it was weird. Weird would be something of note
This was one of the worst cards they’ve done in terms of interesting
Rampage just feels harder and harder to justify watching even if it is only an hour
I mean Trust Busters and Gunn Club in competitive matches that last longer than 5 mins?
