I just saw he was a guest on Joe Rogan’s podcast last week. It’s not very surprising since Rogan has always been friends with him and has had no shortage of controversial guests.
I remembered he did a new standup special released last year through his website. When I looked on IMDB I was surprised that he released his first narrative feature film since the scandal this year. It’s currently chilling on IMDB with 720 votes. The biggest name aside from Louis C.K. in it is Nick Di Paolo.

I think everyone should have a second chance. I forget his apology and if it sounded sincere. I hear his comedy shifted into an anti woke, anti millenial, bitter old man routine. Going on Joe Rogan seems along that vein.
If he truly tried to make amends I would like to be a fan again. If he is going to be the next Chappelle then I will continue to be done with him.

Feel like dave chappelle has been soft launching CK's return to the mainstream for about 5 years now. Not surprised he's trying to make a comeback and people are good with it considering his get down. I won't actively seek his stuff out tho

Look... what he did was terrible. I hope is sincere in his apology. With that being said, he's always been funny as hell to me. That clip was great!

I gave Sorry a watch. It was thoughtful. Not as laugh out loud funny as his past stuff but, considering everything, makes sense.

I think everyone should have a second chance. I forget his apology and if it sounded sincere. To his credit, he admitted everything right away and apologized. But I think the most important part of the apology was him explaining that he justified his actions to himself by saying he never did anything without asking first, "and that's still true". To my mind, that's a roundabout way of saying he really doesn't think he did anything wrong. If those girls didn't want him to pull his penis out in front of them they just should've said no, even though he had the power to blackball their careers if they upset him (and that's to say nothing of how awkward the situation itself must have been for them. Imagine you're in a job interview and the potential employer says "what if I just jacked off right here?"... What can you say to that?). So basically him going on Rogan comes as no surprise.

He's trying to promote an independent movie and Rogan has a huge audience. I really don't see some hidden motive for him appearing on the boogie man that is Rogan.

Yeah I knew he apologized but didnt remember how it came off. Not well it sounds. Old guy not understanding power dynamics and actual consent.

I'm not sure what is the right call here. What Louie did was awful, but compared to Bill Cosby or Harvey Weinstein? He's gonna have to carry that "badge" because at the very least it's creepy and at most an abuse of power dynamics. He has his supporters still, but I think there is a majority of his audience that are done with him.

His new material is awful. Though a lot of his older material is tainted now. Louis CK's shtick of being weird and creepy in his jokes loses a lot of its appeal when he was that weird and creepy with other people without their consent.

Well, he is doing tour of New Zealand next month.
Which has caused some controversy as there were supposedly talk (though I have no idea if this is true or not) that some local comedians were threatening to boycott the venues where he is scheduled to perform at.
But while I do find him funny, I really have no interest in seeing him live.

Realistically CK has enough money that he could do stand up tours in smaller comedy venues (or international places where they don't know/care about the controversy) for the rest of his life and still be fine. Thrown in the fact that many people in stand up are still friends with him (even if they don't really speak publicly about it) and I'm guessing his current low key position will probably be his status going forward. Never as mainstream as he was, and persona non grata in a lot of pop culture spheres, but still with a sustainable career most likely.

How are we supposed to grow if we don't face zero consequences and go right back to the well-paid and publicly lauded positions we were in before after sexually harassing multiple people?

That his gimmick. If he is a fan of someone then an empty apology means all is forgiven.
