If people wanna pay to see him perform. I say let'em. No skin off my ass.
If you don't wanna support him than don't. No need to argue about it over the internet. Let the free market decide if he's forgiven or not.

EDIT II: I just think cussing me out when I was trying to be fair to both sides of the debate was a bit over the top a reaction.

The free market involves actors having information about their decisions and being influenced by others. Telling other people to stop criticism is, by it's very nature, anti-free market. People can support CK, but they can also face consequences for that decision.

I have to ask, and I truly mean no disrespect, but what makes you so high and mighty? I've seen several threads where you just act like you're the beacon of morality. And I wonder where the self importance comes from? Try again, chief. Ok. Fine. I'll drop it. Im just gonna ignore Chaz. It's obvious we agree on very little.

EDIT: I realize you probably mean nothing more serious than "Being made fun of or critiqued online" but that can easily be interpreted as wanting people punished for wrongthink.

And yes, people will think of you differently for your beliefs and actions. That's called being an adult.

I don't entirely agree with the sentiment for reasons I can't articulate properly, but I see where you are coming from.

Fair enough. I don't entirely agree with the sentiment for reasons I can't articulate properly, but I see where you are coming from. I understand both sides of the coin. Louie has always been a controversial comedian. And the allegations, which then turned out to be mostly truthful, amped that up big time. There are some people who consider all, for lack of a better term, "sexpests" activities to be equal. And in this case, its kinda bad. Louie isn't just a well known comedian, jerking off in front of people, he's a well known comedian using his power and influence to potentially damage careers of those who didn't like him jerking off in front of them. I completely understand someone being like "f*** like that guy. Forever!" But I also think most people are deserving of a second chance. It's one of the reasons I'm usually in Hogan threads, defending him. I kno he f***ed up, and Louie f***ed up, but I also kno they apologized. And they've promised to do better. It's a tricky situation and I don't think there really is a right and wrong answer.

It's a tricky situation and I don't think there really is a right and wrong answer. Wrong. People do not deserve a second chance. Second chances are earned. First step is a sincere apology. Not a "Sorry you were offended" apology like Hogans. And after the apology there needs to be a period of contrition. Where Louis, when he wasnt totally forgiven just went the other way and said screw you to woke, millenials, kids who were school shooting victims. What did they do to that old POS? And pray tell what allegations against Louis were "mostly truthful"? But hey they entertain you so who cares right? I am sure if Vince came out tomorrow and apologized for controlling a woman through her livelihood, then trading her to an employee when he was tired her, you would forgive him right away.

Can we dial it back with trying to judge people’s character personally here? The topic is becoming unnecessarily heated.

f*** Louis CK. His sexual assaults hurt generations of comedians. Between the traumatizing and the blackballing and the fear instilled, he actively made the medium and industry a worse place. He does not deserve a second chance regardless if he apologizes or not. You can't have that much of a negative toxic impact and then be allowed to just come back. Comedy doesn't need him. He won't be destitute. Just keep him out. I have to ask, and I truly mean no disrespect, but what makes you so high and mighty? I've seen several threads where you just act like you're the beacon of morality. And I wonder where the self importance comes from? If only pure souls were allowed to speak their minds about morality, only the dishonest would be allowed to speak just from their very nature so I'm not sure what this accomplishes. Edit: also, purity tests are a plague.
