In 2013, WWE published this list:
15. WWE Survivor Series 1995 14. ECW Heat Wave 1998 13. WWE Backlash 2009 12. WCW Bash at the Beach 1996 11. WWE Extreme Rules 2012 10. WWE In Your House: Canadian Stampede 9. WWE No Way Out 2001 8. ECW One Night Stand 2005 7. WWE Summerslam 2013 6. WCW Great American Bash 1989 5. WWE WrestleMania III 4. WCW Spring Stampede 1994 3. WWE Royal Rumble 2000 2. WWE Money in the Bank 2011 1. WWE WrestleMania X-Seven
So now 9 years later, what shows between 2013 to 2022 would you add to the list and what shows are you pushing off?

SummerSlam 2002 not being on the original list is legitimately insane. Money In The Bank 2021 was what fully got me back into wrestling after 7 years of not watching, so I'd give that a shoutout too.

How did Survivor Series 1995 get on there? Like, it's not bad and has some good matches, but not what would come to mind for a list like that.

Backlash 2009 is a bit of a wtf pick. I remember it being pretty good but there are probably 100 better PPVs. Backlash alone has 2000, 2004 and 2007 which are all way better and/or more memorable.
You can almost see the thought process behind some of this list. Some random intern putting it together in 5 minutes and thinking okay we've got to feature one Summerslam, one Survivor Series, one Royal Rumble and oh Wrestlemania is the big one so that can get two spots on the list. Throw in a couple WCW/ECW so it doesn't look too biased. One PPV from this year too so our current product looks good. Summerslam 2013 is a legit great PPV to be fair. I wouldn't have it as the greatest ever Summerslam though. I think there are a few above it.

Overlooking Royal Rumble 1992 is not fair to Flair!

Is the list meant to be PPVs from all companies since it includes ECW and WCW PPVs or are they just there since WWE owns their library rights? If it's the former, you could add AAA When World's Collide and some of the AEW PPVs (Revolution this year is my current favorite).

Definitely adding Wrestlemanias 30 & 31. Surprised Halloween Havoc '97 doesn't get a mention too.

Wrestlemania 31 over Survivor Series 1995 any day! Also why wasn't Summerslam 02 not on that list instead of SS 95?

WrestleMania 3 should be number 1.
No event meant more to the WWF/WWE's success.

15. WWE Survivor Series 1998 14. ECW Heat Wave 1998 13. WWE Backlash 2000 12. WCW Great American Bash 1996 11. WWE Fully Loaded 2000 10. WWE Royal Rumble 2008 9. WWE No Way Out 2001 8. NWA Starrcade 1983 7. WWE Summerslam 2013 6. WCW Beach Blast 1992 5. WWE SummerSlam 2002 4. WCW Spring Stampede 1994 3. WWE WrestleMania 30 2. WWE Money in the Bank 2011 1. WWE WrestleMania X-Seven
So I took a better edition of Survivor Series and Backlash and stuck them in the same spots. The problem with Bash at the Beach 1996 is that the show itself wasn't very good. Rey and Psicosis had a great opener, but then there's a lot of filler (Tenta/Rogers, Duggan/DDP, Flair/Konnan) and crap (Gomez/Mongo, whatever that Dungeon/Horsemen match was supposed to be) before the main event, which is only significant for the conclusion. So my replacement, in order to keep some WCW representation, and from their overall best year of operation, is the previous month's Great American Bash. Extreme Rules was never a great show, due to the gimmick match stipulations. I enjoyed the 2007 edition, but you can't call it "great". So instead, I'm swapping it out with Fully Loaded 2000, which was a mostly fantastic show. I debated whether or not to keep the first One Night Stand, but ultimately, it has to go. Was a great show? Yes. Were there better shows? Yes. Plus, it really dips in quality after the WWE invaders show up. So instead, I'm placing NWA Starrcade 1983. It's a very significant show from way back with some legitimately great matches and should be included. Great American Bash 89 is good, but WCW needs to have it's best in-ring year represented and I had two choices for that. WrestleWar 92 or Beach Blast 92. I chose Beach Blast because that card is solid. WrestleMania III is important, but from an in-ring standpoint, only Steamboat/Savage is truly great. So it's time to give SummerSlam 2002 it's due. Mania 30 trumps the 2000 Rumble, which again, is a one match show. Now, the list DOES need a Royal Rumble on it. There are a few options. 1992 is really a one match show. 2001, 2007 and 2005 are all really good from top to bottom. But I'm giving it to 2008, because this was the beginning of the WWE's rebound from a terrible second half of 2007. After the Benoit scandal, the company suffered and my own personal fandom took a big hit. But this show brought me back. So where to place it and what gets bumped? Unfortunately, as good as it was, Canadian Stampede suffers from being another show where it's main event overshadowed everything else. Don't get me wrong, Taka/Sasuke was great, but Taker and Vader had been having the same match for months by that point. And Helmsley and Mankind would have a better match a few months later on Raw, then some even better matches 2 and half years later. So Rumble 2008 edges it out.
