Who are AEW's legit toughest guys? Mark Henry, Malaki Black, Miro, Ogogo, Keith Lee, Claudio, Hook and Hager are my picks to click. Apparently Kenny Omega has a 4-3 MMA record. CM Punk's biggest problem as a fighter is that he has zero athleticism to speak of. I've no doubt that Duke trained him up to know what to do, but he just does not have the athletic ability to do it fast enough, because he moves like he's got lead in his (Skinny Fat) ass. So, looking at the list: Mark Henry - a walking refrigerator that would smother Punk, unless Mark's been hiding a glass chin for decades. Malaki Black - Is a trained martial artist, but the same could be said of Punk. Black is way more athletic, though, so Punk probably loses teeth. Miro - Another, albeit slightly smaller, walking refrigerator freak athlete Ogogo - Punk has zero chance. Ogogo is cream of the crop combat sport athlete. Keith Lee - Walking refrigerator #3, but also absurdly explosive for his size. Claudio - I forget who said it, but something along the lines of "It's like wrestling a horse" Hook - See my original post. Trained Judoka Hager - Hager is boring to watch in MMA, but he's like... a really, really good wrestler. Wrestling isn't always an exciting sport to watch, but it's an effective martial art. He would bully Punk like an older brother and could probably literally do the whole "stop hitting yourself" routine with him. |

Tony really needs to get AEW's shit together.
That starts with reading a certain dude from Lake View the Riot Act. Suspend him for at least a week longer than Kingston was. Eddie was wrong to slap Guevara, but he didn't instigate it and was trying to actually help Sammy before he lost his head, and he accepted he was in the wrong. Punk though wasn't trying to help anyone, shat all over several members of the AEW roster and said that if anyone had a problem they could meet him in the hallway. Dude needs to be sent home and spend some time thinking about what he's done.

Does anyone remember that MJF returned last night as the Joker and called his World title shot? Yeah, me neither. What bothered me is he didn't cash in right away. Kayfabe wise it doesn't really do anything for him to let Punk know he's gunning for him, right? And if the show had ended with MJF standing tall maybe we'd all be having a very different discussion today. |
