I remember when he hit the G2S at WrestleMania SF’s NXT event and the entire little building the show was in lost their collective shit.
Then he exploded The Brian Kendrick’s face and it was taken away again. Lol

Shit, I think I remember them using Rush's cover of Summertime Blues for SummerSlam '04, which is at least a pretty solid cover. Then they got to Survivor Series and used that weird "Ugly" song and I wonder if it's a coincidence that two months later I stopped watching WWE pretty much permanently. In retrospect I think a big reason WWE lost so many fans in the 2000s wasn't just Austin and The Rock leaving, it was that they kept to musical and visual aesthetics that were rapidly becoming painfully dated. I mean nu metal was basically dead by 2003 at the latest but they were still trotting that shit out as late as like 2009 or 2010. It's like Vince was being dragged kicking and screaming into the new millennium and he hated every moment of it (probably still does). Truth, I loved me my nu metal and rock cuz I’m a nostalgic piece of trash but them switching to hip-hop/pop was looong overdue.

Yeah or if they insisted on sticking with heavy music, at least switch to something more relevant like metalcore or even sack up and throw in some deathcore.

WWE did use the Killswitch Engage track "This Fire Burns" for Judgement Day 2006, which was then used by CM Punk after Randy Orton used it for one or two shows. Was that the only metalcore anyone used in WWE, because I'm drawing a blank for anyone else.

Meanwhile TNA literally got Kurt Angle on an Emmure album cover and had a whole partnership with Victory Records, which is a hilariously perfect match because Victory Records loved stiffing ppl on money as much as TNA did.

Punk is an asshole and all but I kind of can't help but find KENTA's years-long, "He took my move!" campaign unbelievably pathetic.

Slight update on the auxiliary suspensions - Christopher Daniels worked the NJPW STRONG tapings today as planned. He may still be suspended from working AEW events while the investigation is happening, but at least this booking wasn't killed. I would assume he will also head to Japan later this month, but I'm not sure if Omega will be permitted.

On the topic of Wrestling PPV Themes IMHO, My faves are -WMVI-IX Theme -Wrestlemania Theme from the Album -Summerslam '90-'94 -Summerslam '98-Highway to Hell -Survior Series-89-'93 Sax Theme -Survivor Series '98-Deadly Game -Royal Rumble '91-93 Theme -WM I-Easy Lover -WM XVII-My Way
Non WWF -Starrcade-87 True Grit -Great American Bash '88 & '90 -Clash of The Champions XX -Starrcade '83-86-Far From Over by, you guessed it, Frank Stallone. -The WrestleKingdom Theme
Also man did wrestling just used licensed music like no bodies business in the 80s/90s?
