Since we're talking odd wrestling dreams, I once dreamt that Chris Benoit showed up to my job to tell us that a bunch of us were getting laid off
(This was after he already passed away)

The top two weirdest wrestling dreams I can remember having are Kurt Angle yelling at me in my kitchen with the straps pulled down and one where Triple H had an established MMA career that everybody knew about. I'm not kidding about either of these idk what's wrong with me. I once had a dream where I was a wrestler and I cut a shoot promo about how Hogan was a politicking asshole (literally the lowest hanging fruit you could criticize him with, stuff everyone's heard a dozen times before) and it killed his career immediately. I had a dream Rock turned heel and crowned himself ECW champion. This was back in the in-between years of post-invasion but pre-WWECW. Also, HHH had half his face in Golddust paint in the same dream. |

Oh I gotta share my wrestling dream. 1995 just saw 3 ninjas. I dreamt I was playing hockey in a convenience store near where I lived. The floor was ice instead of just a regular floor. It was 3 on 3. Me and Harlem heat vs the 3 ninjas

Is the unparalleled success of this thread and the heavy engagement in this story simply due to this being the most FUN wrestling backstage story in about 20 years? Yeah, if you're a fan of any of the wrestlers or personalities ensnared by the Ace Steel-like jaws of this drama, then you may be a little worried for their fates. If you're a hardcore fan of AEW then this is probably not what you wanted the story to be coming out of their big late summer show. But I think this ticks all the boxes for being the perfect blend of good-natured schadenfreude we've had in a LONG while. While we've had much larger stories in the past 20 years (hell, in the past MONTH), they usually have an element of sleaze, impropriety, or real-world politics that can't help but put a frown on our faces. Then there's always the "is it a work?" question, which can be a bucket of cold water poured on any good backstage disaster, but we basically worked that out of our system by daybreak last Monday. So between the insanity of Punk's rant, the totemic props that have become shorthand comedic signatures, and the layers upon layers of fallout that resulted? I don't know if we'll ever see this perfect balance of innocuous intrigue and outright comedy ever again. Screenwriting classes and improv troupes will be studying this for years to come. |

I had a dream that Brian Cage came to AEW before it had actually happened yet, cutting a promo on whether or not AEW could afford to pay him that was not unlike Luger's "I DON'T KNOW" promo.
MJF was feuding with Cody and taunting him for one reason or another about if he could start a family, that he didn't have the balls. Cody announced Brandi was pregnant, and this somehow led to fans chanting, "CODY'S BALLS! CODY'S BALLS!" in support of him, to MJF's disgusted expression.
Best Friends were chasing Yuka Sakazaki because she had drawn on a fridge with permanent marker. Dunno why that was their obligation.

We’re sharing wrestling-related dreams now? Cool, I have one. It’ll sound hard to believe but I swear, I really did dream it.
So in the dream, Kane is wrestling someone (I can’t recall who). He must have won the match, because he raises his arms to make flames shoot out of the ring posts. Just then, a SECOND Kane appears behind him. This Kane is wearing the full red and black body suit and mask from when the character debuted in 1997.
The crazy thing is, this dream came BEFORE 2006. So yeah, I dreamed about the Fake Kane angle before it happened.
