Am I right that Punk's only losses in his AEW tenure are to MJF (twice) on Dynamite and to Mox a couple of weeks ago? He lost to MJF (2/2/22) and Mox (8/24/22). Total record from 9/5/21 to 9/4/22, including tag and trios matches, is 21-2.

A contract is a contract, but I think Florida is a so-called "right to work" state. Does that have any bearing on things or does it not apply to independent contractors? It all depends on Punk's contract. He almost definitely has a clause related to early termination because he'd be an absolute idiot to not have one (RTW states allow for this) but those clauses also usually also have a subclause that allows termination of the contract due to conduct detrimental to the employer, so really none of us have a f***in' clue and anyone who says otherwise is either an AEW employee or a liar.

I'm finally around for a page 54! Technically.
I forget, do I win a muffin, or is this like The Ring and I'm cursed to be bit by Ace Steel in seven days?

As like, a bit, or IRL? Either way, hilarious. IRL cause she apparently lived the gimmick. Also I forgot dude literally called her Satan. Shotzi really ran him over with the tank because she's a huge Becky Bayless stan.

Reposting this from 20 pages ago because some of us may have missed it over the weekend. Here's someone who actually knew Punk for a few recent years who has been 100% quiet since the whole Punk-Colt stuff went down finally weighing in on the scrum - This week's episode of the podcast Marty and Sarah Love Wrestling went live yesterday. Marty is in the unique position as he'd known Punk for a few relatively recent years when Punk kept a small circle but never once talked about the off-screen Punk following the Colt fallout. Acknowledging Punk and the scrum being out in the open, this episode talks - not in a gossipy way or clickbait-y but an actually insightful way about it. He comes back to it a few times throughout the whole episode, and it really puts a lot in perspective. Marty and Sarah Love Wrestling is my favorite current weekly wrestling podcast so I'd recommend a subscription. Their take and approach to the medium is refreshing and unique. Anyway, here's the episode, it's also on all podcast platforms - mnslovewrestling.libsyn.com/324-lets-get-into-itThere's so much I found interesting from their perspective on Punk but what jumps to mind first was how they absolutely didn't buy Nice Punk from right when he came back.

The thing about the "oh he was nice to me" is that yeh of course he is, even the most manipulative people wont be an asshole 24/7. People can be nice and still be assholes.
From the podcast seem like yeh, Punk is no stranger to saying things just because its better for him.

Fan fact: Current Roman Reigns title run: 742 days.
He needs to go to 868 to overlap CM Punk's.

I was gonna say the same thing. They basically said that the people that Punk was complimentary of was bridges he didn't have a chance to burn yet

we were all victims of his a sick game, a sick sick game played on all of us for years He first lost me somewhere between the UFC losses and the AEW debut. He seemed so resentful of wrestling and fans that it was like…”ok. Stay away then, bro”. I’m sure he had some bad experiences irl and especially on Twitter, but I couldn’t rationalize why he’d lump so much of wrasslin’ and wrestling fans by that. The majority of his fans remained loyal to the bone. And loving. Just look at The First Dance.

It wouldn’t shock me if Punk now spends years going to the homes of thousands of random Chicagoans and demands an ice cream bar from them.

Something that I recently rediscovered in the midst of all this is an interview Punk did prior to his UFC debut for Complex. If you've never read it, it's available here: www.complex.com/sports/2016/02/cm-punk-second-actThere's talk from his trainer about how Punk is a "legitimate athlete" and a "natural striker" to which all I can say, respectively, is "lol" and "lmao." But look beyond that and his conduct in this interview seems to predict his conduct at the All Out scrum:
