I won't hear any badmouthing of Wendy's. Their spicy chicken sammich is lowkey the best spicy chicken sammich and I'll fight any Popeye defenders over this. Chick Fil A you don't even factor into this convo so you can kick rocks. Talk about Wendy's and no mention of fries dipped in a chocolate frosty? Come on, fries dipped in fast food milkshake is good, but fries in a chocolate milkshake is next level. Yeah that's a combo that deserves some respect. Also their chili is good for dipping fries too if ya get chopped jalapenos added and that hot chili vinegar packet they have. Also hella good to put that chili on the spicy chicken sammich with a spoon. I just wished I liked their actual burgers but those are bleh for me. |

Wanting to say Arby's has a pretty underrated chicken sandwich but I also haven't had it in a long time. Usually get roast beef when I go there.

My physical therapist is originally from the Philippines and it's interesting hearing about how much better/different KFC is over there compared to here. Like, much higher quality overall.

I think Popeye's is better than KFC for regular chicken orders; I don't dislike KFC, but it's too damned greasy. They have some good items, though, and whether their chicken breast sandwich or Popeye's is better is a fair debate.
Wendy's burgers are the best of the big three nationwide chains; still ultimately kind of forgettable, but enjoyable while you have them, which is why I compare them to modern blockbuster movies.
End of the day, I'm just frustrated that I ever learned exactly how many calories are in even a small shake at a fast food place, because I can never justify getting one with any other purchases. Having Shake Shacks all over the place now and being all "920 calories?! I can't!" is the kind of sadness I don't need in my life.
Sidenote, they opened a Wayback Burgers a couple towns over and I find myself going there a decent bit, good stuff if a bit on the salty side.

Fun little anecdote, I remember the first time I looked at the calorie count of a taco salad from Steak N' Shake and being mortified that I was eating something more unhealthy than a burger. I mean, I wasn't eating the salad to try and be a health nut (I think their taco salad is tasty), but it was crazy to me how a salad can be so horrible for you. I kind of stopped caring about calorie counts on fast food ever since then. |

Wendy's has the best chicken sandwich with Burger King at #2. McDonald's Buttermilk Chicken was up there but they stopped that fir some reason. Honestly the best chicken sandwich is the one you make yourself. Personally, use a Buttermilk Batter/soak breats or tights overnight, maybe add beer. Standard seasoning(Garlic, Onion, Sason, & Chili powders, some Nutmeg and Paprika), toast the bread or buns and use Colby jack cheese for that extra kick.

Fries and burgers are still ass though. BK's fries are ass unless you get them right out of the fryer, and eat them quickly. Their Chicken Fries though, awesome.
