"they couldnt even run a target" implies it is a very low effort thing to run a target yeah THEY couldn't. you're reading into the other stuff. Also I'm done with this thread. it's toxic as f***. The mental gymnastics required to arrive at a conclusion that's ANYTHING but "Punk is implying that Matt and Nick Jackson aren't smart enough to even run a Target - something that he clearly feels is beneath him and anyone of his position" is startling. |

Wendy's new fries are so nice. What a huge difference making them crispy did Legit. They taste like how Burger Kings’ used to! Fricken good. End of the day, I'm just frustrated that I ever learned exactly how many calories are in even a small shake at a fast food place, because I can never justify getting one with any other purchases. Having Shake Shacks all over the place now and being all "920 calories?! I can't!" is the kind of sadness I don't need in my life. Man, I gained like 20 lbs drinking excess shakes at Coldstone. The PB&C shake went down like chocolate nirvana. Turned out it had enough saturated fat to equal 70+ strips of bacon and over 2,000 calories. Side note: been craving a solid hamburger for two days. This place has me wanting to try Wendy’s now but I might just go to some hole in the wall. Take it with a grain of salt but Konnan said the Elite are suspended until November

How does somewhere called Burger King consistently have trash burgers? You’d think they’d get that right at least. they used to be really good... but they really cheaped out on the food recently and it shows. |

I was there for this. AMA Do you remember how the crowd reacted to it? Was it regarded as ridiculous? Did people seem to be getting into it? Utter indifference and mostly confusion. They announced it as a "pole" match, but did not explain to the crowd what the rules were. I would say 50% of the crowd got in for free. This is also the show where "Goldberg refused to follow script", for which again the crowd had no context to why Goldberg was late and why he left 3 minutes into showing up. |

I'm reading some of these comments like J Jonah Jameson from the PS4 Spider-Man and I love it so much. Also, I'm sure it was just a throwaway line and Punk just happened to pick Target (though I wouldn't be surprised at all if he rehearsed it), but it is funny how Punk chose a retail chain that, in my experience, has always come off as a pretty solidly run operation. Dude may as well have said "You guys can't even run a modestly upscale store with mostly clean aisles and decent prices. Ha, showed them!". If we're going to pick stores it would be dis to work for, he should have said Jomars or TJ Maxx Everyone of those that I've been to was kind of a depressing mess ESPECIALLY Jomars |

Just to clarify a few things in this thread -
1) Popeye's changed their entire formula in 2007. The reputation they had preceded this ("Popeye's chicken is f***ing awesome" as famously said in Adam Sandler's worst movie), and then they tried to shift their image from a just a chicken place to an emphasized "Louisana Kitchen" (their "Lou-i-si-an-ah Fast!" jingle that used to haunt Raw that's been since changed to the same melody with the clunky wording "love that chicken from Popeye's") and are now back to being more of a chicken competitor with their chicken sandwich.
2) Raising Cane's whole allure isn't the chicken, it's the sauce and the toast. Just like how Bojangle's is all about the biscuits.
3) Arby's has a way higher success rate than they should with their promotional items, but it comes with a Thanos-esqe price as they've stopped carrying their phenomenal hashbrown cakes.
4) I love Wendy's - especially with the welcome return of the Pretzel Pub Burger - but every town does have the "Dirty Wendy's." That's a real thing. 90% miminum of all Wendy's I've been in have been spotless, hygenic, sanitary places to enjoy what comes out of Dave's kitchen - but every city has that one Wendy's you never step foot in or even take the drive-thru in fear whatever Pigpen ghost haunts it will make its way from the drive-thru window to your automobile. This has been the case in every major city I've lived in and being on the road I've been fooled by the hidden Dirty Wendy's spread across the country like an unexpected mold. Here in Minneapolis, the Dirty Wendy's is next to my favorite Taco Bell (which is also the neck-and-neck vying for the cleanest Taco Bell distinction) so it's such a night and day testament to society's need for balance.
5) Right now, KFC reigns supreme for me. The only frustrating thing about the franchise is how "prices and participation may vary" is taken so literally specific. Of the three within driving range of me, only two have Grilled Chicken, only one has Nashville Hot, and none of them have Georgia Gold BUT there is a location that still has Georgia Gold if I want to do a halfhour outside the city into Blaine (which in a non-pandemic I'd totally do) and while business-wise I can appreciate a franchise that's allowed to continue promotions at their personal discretion, as a customer there's always that risk of indecision when I get to the menu and the location doesn't carry what I want.
Full disclosure, I have an interesting relationship with KFC as (no joke, five years ago tomorrow) I was the first person to recognize that their Twitter account follows six guys named Herb and the five Spice Girls (11 herbs and spices) so they sent me a prize pack:
