I used to love Bellybusters in Brighton many years ago, old truckers and motorbike cafe. My goodness it was a good feed after the pub.

I just know I long for the days when I was working around St Louis in the early 2000's and I could swing into a Jack in the Box at lunch for 2 of those shitty ass deep fried tacos and a breakfast jack sandwich for like 2 bucks.
Then if I was starving at night I'd go hit up White Castle for a half dozen sliders and some chicken rings. To me that was the "pinnacle" of fast food.

You guys should all take a pilgrimage to New Brunswick, NJ and try the Rutgers grease truck Fat Sandwiches.
Coincidentally, I'm now salty that I 99.9% officially won't be seeing Omega tomorrow at Grand Slam, but not as salty as literally item mentioned here over the last 5-10 pages.

You guys should all take a pilgrimage to New Brunswick, NJ and try the Rutgers grease truck Fat Sandwiches. Coincidentally, I'm now salty that I 99.9% officially won't be seeing Omega tomorrow at Grand Slam, but not as salty as literally item mentioned here over the last 5-10 pages. Rutgers and NJIT in Newark also have grease trucks and I can confirm that they are divine. Though, like White Castle, they're a once-a-year indulgence at most for me. |

As far as fast food goes, when I lived in Canada A&W is by far the best fast food chain for Burguer and Fries IMO.
Amazing Burguer, Sweet Potatoes fries were amazing and great drinks,cant be topped.
But of course I have my local burguer joint which is just f***ing amazing, the meat is great and the fries crispy. Its really f***ing amazing. You usually cant go wrong finding the best local burguer joint if you live in a fairly big city.

So uhh, not sure how hot of a take this will! be but here goes. I don't think Five Guys are worth the high prices. Amazing shakes, though. The burgers at Five Guys are whatever.... but their fries are AMAZING, IMO. They are absolutely horrible for you, but so f'ing good. See I've been having this argument with my girlfriend about this. She's like you and loves the fries but is whatever on the burger. I LOVE the burgers but am meh on the fries |

If you have Penn Station near you, that deserves to be in the conversation for best fast food spot. Pretty much the same fries, but not quite as exorbitantly expensive, and with a damn good cheesesteak, to boot. Hell yes to the Penn Station cheesesteak. Plus their lemonade? Oh god. Oh my GOD. |

The best fries I ever had were from Rally's/Red Line. No idea if they even exist anymore. The best fries now are Burger King as they are thick and crispy(last time I went at least). Here are my fave 5 of Burger joints. 1. Dairy Queen. 2. Whataburger(used to be number 1 before they changed ownership to some Chicago corporation and their quality dropped.) 3. Burger Boy. Burgers are excellent but their shakes are even better. 4. Burger King. Love me some Texas Double Whoppers. 5. Wendy's. Rally's/Checkers fries are unbeatable. Hands down the best, and I've not gotten a bad or disappointing order of 'em yet. Amen. Love those things, they sell them at the stores here too so you can fry them at home. I miss the old Jumbo Jacks that were not only bigger but had the sesame seed buns. I enjoy them still and they have the best vegetable quality IMO from any burger chain I've been to. Miss being a kid and being able to get them for a $1.50. We'd bug our dad on the weekend to get us some and he was always game. |

Not fried, but im currently battling a serious and life affecting Nandos addiction. You can never go wrong with a cheeky Nando's. I'm a creature of habit and one of my tightest friends is on the spectrum so we have a regular routine of meeting up in town, checking out the boardgame store and bookshop, grabbing a cheeky Nando's then retiring to the park to have an old man grumble. It's the perfect chain for when you know exactly what you want. |
