With all the chicken talk, this has pushed me for some KFC.

That is to say, Ketchup Fried Chicken. Banana ketchup by the way. More sweet but a lot more tangy.

My first shot at it. Like, starters is to cook the chicken in a mix of banana ketchup, garlic, black pepper, vinegar, bay leaves, oyster sauce and a bit of sugar. Bit of water as well. No mixing until the mixture is boiled, then let simmer for a while. Got the chicken out and in the fridge to sit and cool for a few hours. Fry for dinner later. Apparently tastes better grilled under charcoal, but forgot to buy charcoal and too lazy to grill later.

Beautiful dark red color right now. Tasted a bit of the sauce and it's good. Might use the sauce later to make some easy fried rice.

Update: the store did not have muffins so I had to make do with a Pop-Tart. It was a s'mores Pop-Tart so it wasn't a total loss.

Here are my fave 5 of Burger joints.

1. Dairy Queen.
2. Whataburger(used to be number 1 before they changed ownership to some Chicago corporation and their quality dropped.)
3. Burger Boy. Burgers are excellent but their shakes are even better.
4. Burger King. Love me some Texas Double Whoppers.
5. Wendy's.

Rally's/Checkers fries are unbeatable. Hands down the best, and I've not gotten a bad or disappointing order of 'em yet.


Guess my top 5 chains will go:

1. Rally's/Checkers
2. Wendy's
3. Burger King
4. Culver's
5. Freddy's

Honorable Mention to Hardee's, but the revamped menu took away my Monster Thickburger and...ya just don't do that.

Agreed. If you have Penn Station near you, that deserves to be in the conversation for best fast food spot. Pretty much the same fries, but not quite as exorbitantly expensive, and with a damn good cheesesteak, to boot.

I think my personal fast food Top 5 would be:

1) Raisin' Cane's
2) Penn Station
3) Culver's
4) Jaggers (this is a super regional thing at the moment, but it's basically Texas Roadhouse's fast food concept. Great burgers, fries, and shakes.)
5) Burger King

Honorable mention to Arby's because I think their curly fries are the best fries in fast food. But the rest of the menu is sort of meh, so it can't quite crack the Top 5.
