-Everything being talked out in May
-Hangman putting Punk over without shooting on Punk ever because like of course Hangman was not shooting on Punk,
-Punk returning and giving Hangman back his receipt
-Hangman not doing any further spite moves
-Dirtsheets reporting about the situation and that that line from four months earlier was an off-script line
-Punk going on to talk about it in a real news interview
-Hangman still doing nothing
-Punk getting everything he wants on-screen then doing the scrum meltdown

At this point if we want to say that Hangman's one-off comment from earlier is what started this all off, then that's an even worse statement about CM Punk as a person and how he handles his anger than anything being said by the people who think it's unreasonable to blame Hangman for what he went off on. The idea that a comment about workers rights would make all of this happen is to say that CM Punk is actually incapable of existing in society because none of this is justified.

What I loved about it, was that Eddie Kingston was so loved that he got Punk booed. Keep in mind, this was freshly returned after a 7 year hiatus Punk who was still fairly early on in the honeymoon phase of his return. So for him to get booed like that, speaks volumes.

Shame we'll never get the rematch, but under the circumstances, it doesn't bother me too much.

I literally would have put money on Khan’s new masterplan being a heel Punk as champion post-All Out eventually being knocked off by Kingston. In fairness, even if Punk had kept his muffin-crumb riddled mouth shut Punk was still going to be out for the guts of a year regardless with his muscle tear.

Mox’s comments regarding Punk in the All Out build were eerily prophetic in hindsight.

I've said it before, but why would any wrestler in any company want to work with Punk now? When you look at how he reacted to one line from Hangman?

It says something that the guy he called out on live TV is the one of the chillest guys in the company.

During today’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer and Wrestling Inc’s Nick Hausman spoke about the situation. Meltzer said no lawsuits had been filed yet from Punk to AEW, or The Elite.

“As far as I know, there aren’t, but that doesn’t mean that there won’t be. I suppose it’s possible on the other side, too, but I have not heard that. The key to this is so much of the stuff has not come out, and I don’t know that it ever will.”

Hausman added that AEW had not filed any suits at Punk over his part in the situation.

Meltzer noted that he doesn’t expect a public statement from AEW President Tony Khan regarding the situation, potentially ever.

“As far as what the investigation shows, I don’t think we’ll ever know that. I don’t think we’ll ever hear anything from AEW on this subject. I mean, maybe in years, we might, but I don’t expect to just from the fact that we haven’t [heard anything from AEW yet].”

While Punk is still in talks with AEW about a potential contract buyout, he is on the sidelines after undergoing surgery for an injury he suffered at All Out that will keep him sidelined for several months. Hausman stated he’s heard from people in Punk’s camp that doesn’t believe he will wrestle again.

“Cash does not seem to be an issue for this guy. He’s got in-roads in Hollywood going on right now. Stephen Amell certainly shining him up with what they’re trying to do over on [Starz’s] Heels right now. I have a lot of people that have known Punk that say to me, ‘This guy’s never gonna wrestle again.’”

Hausman suggested that WWE would give Punk $8-10million for a one-year contract, and that Punk has a lot going on with Hollywood right now. It was hard to figure out if this was Hausman's interpretation of what was going on, or what he'd heard from Punk's side.

Hausman also walked back what he said about Cody leaving because the "EVPs" were spreading rumors about him- he said that his notes said there was "disputes" but he'd defer to Cody since Cody tweeted about it this weekend.

Hausman also got really hung up on the Observer report from one source that Punk was "voted off the island" to the point where Hausman was asking who that was that did the voting, and Alvarez had to jump in to say it was just an expression. Hausman also seemed to take it as gospel that Meltzer had spoken to Kenny and the Bucks, and Meltzer said all he had gotten from them was that they couldn't talk.

Hausman also suggested that Cabana "removed himself" from AEW which was the first time I'd heard that floated.
