Can't wait for Punk to ditch Hausman when he's no longer of any use to him, and Hausman crying into a pint of ice cream trying to figure out why when the entire world (including people who aren't even born yet) can see he's being manipulated. I do wonder if Punk did the route of legit conviced him they are buddies and he is in the right, bond over their dislike of Cabana. Or if he just went"Do you want a bunch of inside scoop?"

I don't know if anyone in this thread has also followed the Intellivision Amico fiasco at all. For a very condensed summary of that story:
A video game composer Tommy Tallarico bought the rights to the Intellivision name and announced a retro console called the Amico would be coming out. Since that announcement, the console has been delayed numerous times, job positions for the supposedly finished console have been repeatedly put out, several attempts at crowd funding/investment have been tried with it, a number of different titles were promised before never showing up again, "games" in the form RFID cards were sold with a legal warning saying there were not physical games, and countless employees have left the project. Its become a laughably embarrassing failure and even Tommy himself is no longer CEO, essentially distancing himself from the project for some time.
Now one of Tallarico's many dubious ways of getting the word out about the system in the early days was to quasi befriend and eventually manipulate many low subscriber retro YouTubers who fell over themselves to interview such a gaming "celebrity". Tommy basically used his status to not only have them shill the console, but also go after anyone offering any criticism of it and the way Intellivsion was handling things. He essentially created an "Amico Mafia" (his words not mine) to act as his attack dogs when people were rightly pointing out the increasing scummy nature of how his company was doing business.
The reason I bring up this dumpster fire of a non-console in this thread is that Nick Hausman's interview with the Observer was giving me flashbacks to a lot of what I saw by the aforementioned YouTubers; someone basically taken in by a major name and inclined to defend them despite the lack of broader facts all while taking a person at their word despite the very suspect circumstances at work. I don't think Punk has necessarily befriended him or even has any plans to, but the parallels are so striking to me that I can't shake a sense that Hausman's involvement is definitely being somewhat driven by a major name like Punk reaching out to him and giving him a big role in the midst of a very prominent story.

Again Punk is unequivocably in the wrong here... and the entire way the AEW company is viewed is different than the WWE... of course that would happen to that chant.

I keep reading Hausen as Danhausen. I can't be the only one.

Hausen is probably doing all this for the clicks. If he doing this to be friends with Punk or any type of validation like that, then that is just sad.

Punk continues to prove why WWE was correct in never making him "the guy"

Punk makes his debut back in WWE while Roman in the ring with a mic. Fans boo loudly. Roman: Suffering Succotash. Your already making me look strong.

I don't think Punk needs to wrestle again. Even if he still wanted to get some money out of wrestling, I'm sure he could make a small fortune just on the autograph and speaking tour circuit. Get a Hall of Fame induction and some legends deals and he'd be set.
I can see him wanting to wrestle again though, if only to prove a point.

"Fightful noted that WWE may be interested in signing Punk, and also some other places, but maybe he wouldn't be interested. Maybe he wants to wrestle again, but he's injured anyway, and maybe at a later date he won't want to wrestle again, but maybe he will."
Terrific. Imagine putting that behind a paywall.

I actually want to see Punk in WWE purely for the chaos. I want to see how long he lasts before a 600+ page thread happens in the WWE section.

Independent journalists have to make money somehow. Trust me, it sucks being a freelancer. Not like they have an ad revenue or anything to supplement employee's paychecks. Honestly glad I'm a subscriber. Cool getting Raw notes before the show and they've broken quite a few big stories the past couple years.

My guess is he’s back in WWE within a year of getting cleared. And if that’s the case, they’ll deserve every benefit, success and everything else that comes with it.
