Honestly, I'm here for a lengthy Bryan Danielson media scrum. It'll be just as chaotic as Punk's was, only with less fighting and calling out his colleagues.

I just want Colt to come out and start asking journalists if they're friends with him.

Until a couple of weeks ago I had no idea Swerve did his own entrance music. It's why he uses "Big Pressure" not just in AEW, but everywhere else he goes, too. I have so much respect and love for the guy. He's a real renaissance man.
He's like the ultimate example of someone who was practically made for AEW. Even if he weren't burned by how his WWE run went, they could not give him the kind of freedom he operates in right now. It's simply not how the WWE machine works, no one has that level of autonomy in the company. I still can't believe how WWE fired this guy for "budget cuts." Or thought his ceiling was playing second fiddle to f***ing Top Dolla of all people.

I get the idea of giving someone green or limited a veteran to compliment them and hide their weaknesses, but doing that with someone who by all rights should have been treated as an up and comer in their own right is ass backwards. This is more the sort of thing you're supposed to do with a "good hand" type.

Trying to remember, and asking in all sincerity since I feel like I'm forgetting something, had anything particularly controversial happened at any of the scrums prior to this past one at All Out?
Like, I know I've watched them (they're a fun post-show comedown) and there's been some funny and some touching and some interesting moments, but have any lightning rods been struck during previous ones?

The first thing that comes to mind was TK hardcore fanboying for Punk at either Revolution or Double or Nothing "THAT'S F***ING BULLSHIT" in his like five minute rant against Bischoff saying Punk wasn't a draw. Obviously nothing there remotely as big as Punks meltdown but that one where TK was keyed up I remember being the weirdest prior one

Winning the tag team titles, having a great program with The Acclaimed and he committed one of the most heinous acts in wrestling history by trying to take away scissoring from Daddy Ass.

After Full Gear last year, Tony Khan had an aside during the scrum about how he didn't get enough credit for NWA Empowerrr given that every woman he sent over for the show was one he apparently paid out of pocket for the show. It got blown up in a weird way as like 'Tony Khan wants credit for Mickie James's success' and that was probably the biggest point of contention in any of the past ones. Which stacks up with Chiral's points about other highlights being Tony comments to come to the conclusion that usually the biggest scrum issue most of the time is just Tony putting his foot in his mouth over and over. Talents going rogue hasn't really been a factor.

Mostly just people thinking TK was coked out. Ironically, the time he appears the most sober is when shit derails. Same scrum, I think, but I still am sort of puzzled by people who read into Toni saying Rosa can lose the title to her anytime since, maybe that's a shoot comment from her and actual beef, but it could also could very, very, very easily just be kayfabe trash talk, and I'd have not really given it a second thought if I didn't know there were murmurings about Rosa being a divisive figure.

The NWA bit at the end proved TK was right the whole time after how Corgan exposed himself(his comments about Empowerrr and then his fanboyism toward Tyrus that he made him champ last week)

Oh yeah I was presenting the comment neutrally, but I think it's absolutely valid for Tony to put it on the record if he paid for all the AEW-contracted women to work another promotion's show; that's a pretty bit commitment to the ideas it was pushing for. Corgan has done himself zero favours since given everything and his comments about the women.

*channels Lance Storm* If I can be serious for a moment:
What and when was the last news on this? I don't mean opinions and speculation. I mean the last actual news.
Just curious. It's hard to keep up with all the shenanigans.

It wasn't the time and place since he sorta used it as a deflection of a question about his own women's division. But between Tyrus and Corgan lately, he's sure as shit looking vindicated about it.

It's hard to keep up with all the shenanigans. Probably the Elite returning backstage and the videos hyping their return. I don't think there's been anything since then other than speculation on Punk's contract. Unless you count Punk returning to MMA commentary.

With the Elite seemingly set to return at the PPV< I expect unless some entirely new shitshow starts up, the next real news we get is going to be the return at the PPV itself, whatever form that takes. And if it ends with like a Death Triangle open challenge into their return and reclaiming the titles I expect a whole lot of response stuff to be juicier than the steaks I'm cooking up for the show.

The Elite returns, and an anonymous source says that the Elite tried to basketball with Larry as the ball, and they're the ones that tole Rockstar to abandon all SP DLC. All comes from the anonymous source known only as PM Brooks.
