It's extremely difficult for me to not think there's an element of working here..
I don't for 1 minute buy that AEW went from a perfectly fine locker room to chaos in the snap of a finger, especially after a talent meeting.
I think Tony saw the constant complaining that his show had no surprises and was predictable and has swung the other way to an extreme.
I also buy into Punk really enjoying playing the dick role and going after Omega and the Bucks is an easy way to do that..

I really think its all a work (minus the Colt stuff). If you look at Hangman's last promo before they main evented that PPV, almost everything he says he is protecting AEW from has slowly started to happen. CM Punk has also been making periodic heel comments, that seem way too calculated. The summer of Punk in ROH was a giant work against the fans. No. No, no, no, no, no. That is wishful thinking. This is a dude suckling his fingers airing his many, many grievances before the world while his gobsmacked boss sits there gormless and does nothing.
he tried stopping him multiple times. I think TK was in "just keep saying 'no comment' and lets get this over, and I'll handle this when the scrum is done". Like not only did Punk bury The EVPs, Cabana, Hangman, but by going "oh they still think they're in Reseda", he buries AEW's #1 play by play guy, and like... what 75% of their roster? You get rid of the PWG influence in AEW and you're left with like.. Big Show and Mark Henry and that's it. Jericho I think is about to do some locker room leader shit, judging from the way he talked to TK on his way out. |

This forum has been handling this relatively well overall, but just as a reminder, you can feel that WWE's treatment of Punk was wrong while also coming to realize that he has always been a massive asshole and everyone might've been better off if he stayed retired. Most all wrestlers that made it to the top of the business are dicks. |

The sooner Khan realizes that Punk needs AEW and it's not the other way around, the better. Seriously. If you're worried about anyone walking...it definitely shouldn't be the guy starting the fires, because I doubt many wrestling companies are going to welcome him with open arms. Anyone else though? Major gain. |

Literally every notification led to Page 54 of the Worlds Collide thread like almost all day, including thru the entirety of All Out. It started right at the end of Worlds Collide too lmao. It's been one of the most legendary days/nights in FAN history. You don't even understand how scared I am that I'm gonna fall asleep on the couch watching Shameless and wake up 3-4 hours later to news that Punk has doxxed Colt Cabana. |

They lost their star in that regard In general Cody picked like the exact strategically perfect time to get the hell out of there because 1), he went to WWE at a time they absolutely needed someone like him, and 2), with the timing it reads like he either knew everything was about to go to hell or like he was the only person keeping it from doing so. |

I still can't get over how egotistical Punk was about MMA. Like, he really thought it was going to be in his benefit to go on the offensive. Even against another newb, didn't Gall at least have amateur experience? Such audacity with nothing to back it up. |

There was that line early on about how AEW would be "for the boys, by the boys" or whatnot. It always read to me like they were going to be a cliquey boys' club at best, and I don't really feel like I've seen anything to contradict that - if anything, the influx of talent from WWE probably just led to some rival cliques and even less cohesion. These things just take time to reach our ears as fans. |

Hobbs turning on Starks, Garcia beating Bryan, Mox squashing Punk, and some of the other stuff they've been doing over the last couple months has been unpredictable enough. You don't need any of this extra worked shoot garbage. |

Yeah, Mickey Gall was found on Dana White's Looking For A Fight serious at an amateur MMA show. Dude was a legit prospect. Also there's the whole thing of Mickey Gall KOing Mike Jackson in like 30 seconds to earn the fight with Punk and then Punk's next fight years later being against Mike Jackson who somehow put just as bad of a beating on him while actively trying not to hurt him too bad. |
