Punk said he hasn’t been friends with Colt since 2014, late 2013…….. The infamous podcast was November 2014. Is he bad with dates or it there something else there? Nov is late 2014. he probably wasn't sure so he threw 13 in there too. |

On the spot going on a tangent it’s very likely it’s a miss spoke on dates. He probably lumps everything of when he left WWE, got married, got sick, went on the podcast, got sued as one been blur of dates. I have a few years in my life where so much shit happened in a two year period it just kinda blends together., |

It's extremely difficult for me to not think there's an element of working here.. I don't for 1 minute buy that AEW went from a perfectly fine locker room to chaos in the snap of a finger, especially after a talent meeting.I think Tony saw the constant complaining that his show had no surprises and was predictable and has swung the other way to an extreme. I also buy into Punk really enjoying playing the dick role and going after Omega and the Bucks is an easy way to do that.. It took a lot longer than a minute. This is stuff that's been brewing for a long time. Cody was probably somebody that could stamp out the shit before it exploded. He left, and Omega wasn't there to be another leader, you don't have the hierarchy for a long time where guys could vent their issues. It builds and builds till something like catering running out of Doritos is the thing that causes everything to go off. Whole thing has made me respect Danielson even more. The inmates completely running the asylum, and he's pretty much dedicating himself to getting as many people who aren't him over as possible. |

Try nothing. He's not helpless to stop it. He's the boss. I don't need Frank Oz and a lil' green puppet to tell me there is no try. Guy let the wrestler he wanted for AEW from the jump run a train on people who were with the company from the start. Just nodding along.

final thoughts for tonight
1. danielson always should've been in the spot punk is in now. you could've made just as much money with punk being in that main event/draw spot without getting the title so quickly, none of the issues and danielson is a thousand times the worker anyways
2. it is very amusing how this thread doesn't have the usual suspects

I wish I could find it but someone backstage tweeted something after punk beat hangman like "Hangman is such a good person and I'm so grateful to everything he did he really deserved to be world champion" and it had such a "oh god it's a bumpy road from here because of chicago made punk" vibe in hindsight
