you guys know this is an obvious work right? If it is a work, it's a very, very, very bad one. People aren't talking positively about this, it just reflects poorly on AEW as a company. This is Vince Russo WCW levels of work, which is an incredibly bad thing. |

But it's not like he went in and just railed on Cabana. Am I missing something? I mean I watched the video where they are sitting down, and that's exactly what happens. He begins grilling the reporter about doing improv, asks him who he does improv with, and his relationship with that person. Did the reporter ask him something about Colt before he sat down? Or did Punk recognize him as a friend of Colt and try to call him out on it? |

Watch the beginning here: I love Colt Cabana, i will not say otherwise, he has done so much for me over the years, from his podcasts to allowing my band to be a part of it to seeing his comedy in Edinburgh, but i say this not as a fan of his, but as a human being, after watching that. f*** CM Punk. |

If it was just some of this, maybe it'd be a work, but unless Punk and Cabana are having a match, what would the point be? Also, I have my doubts due to Tony probably not thinking "I'll book a heel to humiliate me at a press conference and openly disrespect me".
If it was just shit-talking the Elite, then sure, maybe I'd think a work, but if it is in any way a work, it definitely got out of hand.

I was telling my wife this morning that if any coworkers ever went off on me, I would do my best to handle it professionally. However, if a coworker ever went after her or my mother, all bets would be off. That was super unnecessary.
On a lighter note, remember when Colt's mom wrote a battle rap to combat Max Caster? That was a simpler AEW.
