If indeed a work...does this fit into the master work of when he "walked" out of WWE in 2014? Can't wait to see the marks' faces when he comes out to confront Triple H. There is zero chance Punk ever goes back to WWE. Hell, when Punk signed with AEW, Fightful reached out to WWE about it, and their response was: "Good. He's their problem now". WWE didn't even want him on WWE Backstage, but FOX hired him on and paid him. I think if anyone would end up in WWE because of this, it would probably be The Elite if they actually do walk out. Because Tony seems like a doormat, letting Punk walk all over him like this.

Well, that’s why we keep titles on Big Daddy Mox. Wrestling companies gone learn eventually, lmaooo. I'm taking this as meaning if WWE had learned this Mox would still be in WWE and would have been given a Big Daddy tribute gimmick for Clash at the Castle. Would still be better than the Bane gimmick tbf.

Maybe Punk is one of those unfortunate few for whom CTE starts settling in early?
Wrestling being wrestling you can never discount that it's a work, but Khan did not look comfortable at all at that conference, and if Punk said these things in earnest I don't understand what you can do with him at this point.

The best part is, Dave calls it a melee, and Bryan is like, "A melee, what do you mean?" And Dave gets all high pitched and is like, "It was called a melee" offering nothing beyond that. "A FRACAS, BRYAN! POSSIBLY A KERFUFFLE! GET OFF MY CASE!" Conflicting reports have also called it a "Donnybrook"

as I said in the other thread it's an obvious work that just didn't land with people. and no, this isn't going to kill AEW so just stow that doomer nonsense before it even gets started. And I'll say it again here. If it's a work, its an incredibly bad work that only makes the company look bad. This is late era WCW level stuff. No one gets over from this.

Not everyone is spelling the end for the company... But that doesn't mean that we can't criticize Tony and Punk for what happened tonight. And what's so "obvious" about it?

I don't think this is going to kill AEW, regardless, but I have difficulty buying that Tony Khan would book his own talent humiliating him at the press conference and disregarding him, or teasing a match with Colt Cabana that's simply not happening.
Now, is it possible some elements were going to be a work and it spiraled out of control? It's possible, like maybe beefing with the Elite, but I don't think what we saw went according to plan if so.

Is it that obvious? It makes Punk look an asshole, but it makes him look like an asshole for real, not in the wrestling heel sense. I can't imagine Cabana would be like "sure, go ahead and call me out by my real name and mention my mother too". Obviously they aren't going to feud onscreen so what's the point?

we'll have to agree to disagree about that. its not business exposing stuff like what Russo was doing. is he being an asshole? yeah but he's also the heel. people need to get a f***ing grip already with this "sky is falling" bullshit they keep pulling with this company. that's the last I'm going to say on it because I know everyone else here is so keen to flip their lids over every little thing. he wasn’t a heel though he was literally the babyface 10 minutes before this why would he turn heel during a press conference nobody is going to watch I bet the press conference gets more views than the PPV does.

Sometimes I think people claim something is a work in order to seem like they're ahead of the curve on something. Like they're more clever than the rest of us. But at the end of the day, it's just presuming something on the basis that there is a chance you may be proven right. You may as well just mention every single day that it's going to rain. Eventually you will be correct. but can’t you say the same for the people assuming that it’s not a work? like they’re trying to get ahead of everyone else so if it’s proven it’s not a work they can sat they’re right? i’m not saying that it is or isn’t a work i’m just saying we don’t know for sure what this is yet

Montreal Eddie Guerrero's death TieGate The sun rising every day The air being sucked into my lungs If I preemptively say something is a work, and I turn out to be right, then I can be like "Told Ya So!!!" when it happens. And believe me... I'll do it!! However, if I'm wrong, then I'll refrain from admitting as much. (I may even go back and delete my old posts.)

No, you don't delete anything, you just keep them up, refrain from admitting it, and keep doing so until you either are proven right or expire! Then put it on your tombstone "Wait and See" and everybody will believe you've spoken wise last words on your tombstone and never know you were just being a stubborn Wrestle-douche.

And like...99.9% of the time when things that under no circumstances would ever be a work get called a work, they are indeed NOT a work. Again...show me and every other "doubter" a shred of evidence that makes this a work.
