you know you saying that it’s a shoot and making fun of people saying it’s a work is not much better right? Again, the burden of proof is on those calling it a work to provide any evidence that it is a work. All evidence that I see makes me believe it's a shoot. Now...they can turn this into a work later, but as everything that stands leading up to this provides no evidence of the contrary. And again, this would possibly go down as the worst work of all time. Like worse than anything Russo ever did... |

but can’t you say the same for the people assuming that it’s not a work? like they’re trying to get ahead of everyone else so if it’s proven it’s not a work they can sat they’re right? i’m not saying that it is or isn’t a work i’m just saying we don’t know for sure what this is yet The burden of proof is on those saying it is a work. And like...99.9% of the time when things that under no circumstances would ever be a work get called a work, they are indeed NOT a work. Again...show me and every other "doubter" a shred of evidence that makes this a work. I’m just saying that there’s no way you can 100% say this is a shoot just like you can’t say 100% it’s a work right now a lot of people are saying it’s a shoot and you trying to prove that you’re right that it’s a shoot is no better than the people saying it’s a work. disagree with them sure but as of right now nobody is right until this either becomes an angle or idk Punk/ the Elite walk out/ get suspended or fired |

If indeed a work...does this fit into the master work of when he "walked" out of WWE in 2014? Can't wait to see the marks' faces when he comes out to confront Triple H. At this point I would love to see the reactions for him coming out to confront Triple H, leading to a 'one night only' return for the game, who promises he's gonna "bury your skinny-fat ass once and for all!" And actually beats punk in two minutes. |

Like...I get that people want to believe that getting tricked like this is some kind of magical event that is going to get people to watch the product, but that is never ever the case. If I'm trying to get fans interest peaked, I'm going to do it in a more provocative way. When someone says something like "obvious work", it's said with an arrogance that they can see something others cannot. Again, that is why I'm asking for any proof at all. Because this is in no way how you would or should conduct a worked shoot. Tony and CM aren't playing 4D chess here... they're making their company look bad, work or shoot. |

I'll fully admit that Punk bashing a wrestler for sharing a bank account with his mother is an odd setup for a feud with Trent, but I'm going to wait and see how it plays out.

Them uploading this to their official YT channel is kind of odd
on the one hand they'll probably get a bunch of clicks and revenue from YT but that still seems like something they'd -want to distance themselves from

At this point I think it would be best for them to build up to the match with MJF, have MJF win clean and have Punk quietly leave the company. MJF runs for awhile as the guy who retired CM Punk and now you don't have to deal with Punk anymore. This is coming from a guy who absolutely loved Punk but at this point he's only got at most one or two good years in him and if you're Tony you're building for the next 5 to 10. You take the ratings hit for now to have a functioning promotion later

If dumping Paul Bearer's ashes on the Undertaker doesn't get him booed, I doubt a press conference that a fraction of the audience watched will. Them KEEPING IT UP is another story I mean...lets be honest at this point. AEW management has incredibly poor PR instincts at this point. Especially Tony, if you've see how he acts on Twitter (this isn't unique to AEW either, he does this with the Jags and Fulham as well). They desperately need to hire an actual PR firm at this point, and a publicist for Tony. I would go as far to say that the only other wrestling company that has a worse PR department than AEW is the English STARDOM account. |
