Clearly this is all Adam Page's fault because of that curse he put on the Buckshot that led everyone else who used it to injury and madness.

Good golly the "Hangman went into business for himself" tweets from those accounts on Twitter look like bot posts lately lmao You know what kills my few remaining braincells is Punk slamming Hangman for jeopardizing a million dollar gate going into business for himself; The statement fundamentally holds up to no scrutiny and it legitimately causes me sleep trying to think from what angle Punk felt that was a 'gotcha' on Page. The only way that gate is jeopardized is if Punk doesn't show up and I daresay it ain't on Hangman at that stage.

To each their own but considering the circumstances and what we know…I’ve said it like half a dozen times already but the cult of Punk remains strong.

You know it's funny because if Miz f***ed up Punk for telling him to suck a blood money covered cock, the energy from the "Punk does no wrong" crowd would be so different lmao

Facts be damned, they're gonna blindly support Punk no matter what. Goes without saying, every fanbase has those kinds of fans.

Like that's the claim. The gate was jeopardized because Punk believed that Hangman would attempt to shoot on him during their match and he had to be talked down from it. And it's another one of those cases where I sincerely, no joke, no irony, no bit, no sarcasm, hope that Punk is lying through his teeth to save face on that one, because if he genuinely believed that Hangman was going to beat the shit out of him then the guy needs serious actual help because his paranoia is through the roof.

Why're we paying any attention to Dave Scherer at all? Dude's been openly shitting on AEW for years now, this is par for the course for him.

Another thing about the whole "Punk slamming Hangman for jeopardizing the gate" is that the gate was already done. No matter what, the gate was already paid for. How was Punk afraid Hangman was gonna screw up the gate if the tickets for the gate were already paid for? It makes no sense.

Oh no I think the implication was never antyhing less than the idea that Punk was ready to walk and the whole gate end up f***ed after the sell-out. I just think Punk believes it's a lot more sympathetic a sentiment than it actually is.

My thing with that is that if he did think Hangman was gonna shoot on him, why further antagonize him after it didn't happen? It's like instead of realising he was just being paranoid, he doubled-down on the anger. Maybe he was pissed he didn't shoot on him because he doesn't like being wrong?

Listen he was a lunkheaded dumb f*** or whatever he had to be reminded of how he put Double or Nothing's gate in jeopardy months after the fact to stay in line or something and it definitely wasn't because Hangman brushed it off with jokes and didn't give Punk further fuel in a kind of way no sir it was all because of that lunkheaded dumb f*** being stupid or whatever

I vividly remember seeing AEW in local school gymnasiums before CM Punk arrived. They had like 3 people in the crowd. And they couldn't even draw a 100 people to watch the show on Destination America! Punk lifted them up from poverty! Who could forget the episode of Dynamite the week before Punk signed where they were just in an empty building full of cats and Excalibur was selling Miracle Breakthrough Oil. They were able to fill the Oakland Coliseum?

It's like instead of realising he was just being paranoid, he doubled-down on the anger. Maybe he was pissed he didn't shoot on him because he doesn't like being wrong? I don't think Punk was angry he was wrong, I think he just wanted to keep banging on that one thing because it was all he had. Like, the whole scrum interview was obviously a hit job, but he wanted to provoke a reaction out of Hangman and kept not getting it. So he called him out, he brought it up in an interview, he did what he did at the press conference. He wanted rid of the Elite and Hangman, and he didn't have any real grievance aside from one comment tamer than tons of shit Punk had said before in promos, because he thought this gambit was going to pay off instead of turning scores of big Punk fans against him. I think the entire claim "he's going to shoot on me" was always a political ploy, but one that just never manifested. But what else did he have on Hangman? What more than one line in a promo was he going to be able to get angry at? Dude tried to play politics against a guy whose response was to make an "I was too busy asking my friends to get their dicks out to even know you were calling me out" joke. That was his biggest mistake, I think. He tried to do a full-scale Hogan move but he chose people who he really did not have the ammo to take on, so we've got one off-script comment and rumours nobody will say even came from the Elite but which seem like whoever spread them was telling the truth all along.
