Allegedly he like the vp of talent in both endeavors. Hes not doing a very good job IMO. Fulham is always up and down with relegation and the Jags are really bad. I have a hard time believing that. I have never heard him mentioned by football media in the same breath as their GM. He's heavily involved with Fulham but I think anything he does with the Jags is very minor. He's very present as he'll likely own the team in the next 10-20 years but he's not making significant decisions.

I kind of wonder if right before saying this is when his brain finally processed that he let Punk trashed himself and the company in front of the world. When something shocking first unfolds, a person sometimes can't react because they have no idea how to respond.

Don't try to compete with WWE. Just be different.

Remember last week when he made it a point to go on Busted Open and decry « I am no pushover » ?
Remember last Sunday when he couldn’t get a word I. Edge wise and just sat helplessly as his top star threw gasoline over the guys who helped build the company?

To the extent that the tone was “I’m not going to sit idly by and allow contract tampering” and/or “my company will push back against counterprogramming” I have absolutely no issue with his comments, at all.
I don’t think AEW needs to go out of its way to “compete” with WWE, but if WWE chooses to being the fight to AEW, complacency is not the right response.
TK, as usual, could have chosen his words better here, but I don’t think what he said was necessarily outrageous or wrong.

Weren't Fulham fans expressing displeasure with him during Fulham's last run in the PL a couple years ago? Things a going a bit better for Fulham right now in this run, so maybe it's been smoothed over.

Casual reminder that WWE announced Clash at the Castle for September 2nd in April, and AEW announced All Out for September 3rd in July.
I fully appreciate Tony being pissed about contract tampering, to say nothing of Triple H's constant minimizing of the company, but it'd be hard to convince an outside observer that WWE picked this fight.

Honestly, I could listen to Keane, Carragher, and Neville discuss Tony's transfer dealings and fan interactions until the end of time. It might be one of the few subjects they all agree on.

Wasn't Tony Khan also getting a lot of anti-Pakistani racism from some Fullham/EPL fans? Granted, can't say I'm surprised that happened given the reputation of soccer hooligans. They make our racist shithead sports fans look like amateurs.

They make our racist shithead sports fans look like amateurs. I'd be more shocked if they weren't. If there's a form of racism or other bigotry/xenophobia, sports fans and especially football fans will tap into it.

Probably, but from my understanding it's a different situation. One is "your contract is coming up, our place has XYZ to offer" which, you know, is what happens in every situation where a contract is coming to it's end, wrestling, sports, office jobs. What I got out of the WWE rumour was they went "Ok, you're under contract for a few years, we'll give you this if you break your contract/do something to get fired and come here" One's an offer, one's trying to get someone to break their deal.

When something shocking first unfolds, a person sometimes can't react because they have no idea how to respond. That's a mighty fine point. Also, tt was like residual Punk bitching dust was left hanging in the air and some landed on TK's hair 30 minutes later.
