If he is indeed done, are you happy with his run? Yes he was acting like a complete jackass the past few days but his return was HUGE and I’m Happy he got to win the AEW title twice. I think him leaving in controversy again is fitting

Like with anything else involving Punk, it’s a roller-coaster.
I teared up when he returned. The build and ovation he got was tremendous and insane in the best way. At the time, it felt like the missing piece of the puzzle that was AEW.
I soured on the babyface act pretty quick. As well as his matches from an in-ring standpoint. From a storytelling perspective? Arguably best he ever was.
For all the talk of bringing young guys up, I don’t think he elevated anyone. Not Hobbs. Not Darby. The Kingston and MJF feuds and matches were great but a large part of that may have been on them more so than Punk. The best thing about those programs is it showed those two were at Punks level, if not better.
And I think he was a huge part in why AEW became so “pro-wrestling”-centric, which personally, just diluted the product a bit for me.
And finally with the shitstorm of the last few months and days, I can resoundingly say “No”. I think he should have stayed away.

Am I happy he returned last year? Yes.
Am I also fed up with his narcissistic bullshit because he hadn't learned his lesson from his time in WWE? Also yes.

I don't think any of us really have to suddenly be unhappy that he returned. I think most of us were super psyched about it.
He is the one who tainted his moments.

Amazing return
Amazing run after the fact
Yes I am happy he returned, and frankly, all the negativity he brought by the end, might make AEW stronger in the end, so hopefully it's a win-win

I think he had one of the best runs of his entire career, and I think, really, it ending this way is strangely poetic in the grand scheme of CM Punk’s career.
So, yes, I’m glad he had the run. But if tonight proved anything it’s that AEW doesn’t actually need him.

The last shitty month doesn't erase the several good ones that followed before it. He had some great moments in his brief time in AEW. Shame whatever's crawled up his ass and died f***ed up the rest of it.

The Punk/MJF/Wardlow storyline is one of my favorites of all time so yes. Even with how it seemingly has ended.

I am. I said in another thread that I didn't watch him in WWE and became a fan just based on this AEW run. I'm just really disappointed about all this.

Everything was very good through the MJF feud. Its sad that the last month really tarnished so much.

I was absolutely delighted when it returned but it got boring very quickly when he bulldozed through most of the roster with the exception of Wardlow. I don’t think anyone benefited from working with him in the long run and if he is gone then I think we dodged a bullet here.
I feel this could’ve gone the way of Hogan in WCW and TNA where he brings in a ton of his friends to hog the spotlight in the mid card too whilst he hogs the spotlight at the top of the card forever more. Only difference being is that Punk apparently had no friends so that took care of itself. The fact that nobody who knows him likes him all that much should’ve served as a warning.

Absolutely, it was such a breath of fresh air and he had a hell of a run. I hope he isn't finished and something can be worked out.

If his run ends now it was kind of like when Goldberg came to WWE for a year.

I really dislike Punk, and have for a long time, but I'm glad his fans got to see him and we put the "What If?" to bed. There were some great matches and a really awesome feud that came of it, so it feels like a worthwhile run/return. That said, I hope he's done.

Absolutely. Regardless of his actions and attitude, dude will always be my favorite and I was just happy to see that spark return for a bit that he lost. Am I happy about him in this moment. No. But he'll always hold a place in my heart.

MJF vs Punk was amazing and I get to enjoy the jokes and delight at the expense of his hipocresy.
So Yes.

Yes, selfishly. He was for a long time my favorite wrestler and his abrupt ending from WWE never get right. This run gave me some closure and his behavior makes it easy to bid him adieu. I am happy he came back though, it didn't end well, but it at least feels like an end.

His return was an outstanding moment when I felt he was never going to set foot in a wrestling ring ever again after 2014.
It's just a shame Punk decided to ruin the goodwill this past weekend due to petty grudges.
