If The Queen passed away one week earlier than she did, would Clash at the Castle have been canceled?

The residents at work (I work at a mental health care home) were all quite upset about it. We were watching the news earlier when Charles was waving and whatnot and the newsreader says "The King, greeting his people" Gonna take a long time to get used to it.

Without trying to upset people all i am going to say is Queen Elizabeth had a personal fortune of over US$500 million, the royal family as a whole has an estimated worth of over US$28 billion. The British government will spend millions on the funeral & other memorials yet each winter in Britian there are over 25,000 preventable deaths due to people (mainly pensioners) being unable to afford to adequately heat their homes. The worth of the royal family is based on estates and assets like the Crown Jewels, which generate huge amounts of money for the Treasury anyway and are based on a value which could never be liquidated in any case since we could never sell irreplaceable and ancient national treasures. If people are struggling with fuel prices, the blame lies with the greed of the private corporations who set them, and world events that are beyond our control. There are also sellable items of extreme value, like works of art. But anyone who would rather them sold to private persons rather than regularly lent out to our national museums is properly foolish.

Guys, just a reminder to leave political talk off this thread. In the rules, no political talk. And it really sucks to be mister mod on a thread involving when someone has died.

Small potatoes by comparison of course but...
Horrible Histories will have to change its song.
Also wonder how Spitting Image handles this when they return?

I heard ‘God Save the King’ sung as our national anthem for the first time today. It was rather disconcerting, to be honest - you naturally expect to hear ‘Queen’, so to hear everyone singing ‘King’ in unison was odd.

Seen clips of a poor newsreader on ITV that kept gaffing, "His Majesty The Queen". 'The Queen' rolls off the tongue and most newsreaders have never known different.

For people who know more than me, with charles declaring william prince of wales, does william get the big ceremony for it like charles had to do, or is it just "I can just say it and that's it"?

My UK passport expires in March and with hoping to plan an overseas trip for around April/May I started the process of renewing it about two weeks ago.
I already have done the online application at the uk passport office website and as overseas resident I had to post the one about to expire to England before they start processing the application.
Heard about the long delays with a backlog, and now I imagine it will be even further delayed because they will need to change some things in the new passport.
Anyway, I wish they would start making digital passports... To go along with the booklet passports.. It will certainly speed things up.

Mine took less than a month despite the apparent backlog, granted, it was posted to a UK address but even so, it wasn’t as long as I thought. As for the changes, the only difference is to the wording on the inside cover and it’s literally a few pronouns that need to be changed, which I wouldn’t think would cause any delay at all to the process.

Just realized that unlike all other living/recently dead oldies such as Dick Van Dyke, Hitler definitely knew who the Queen was and probably had numerous opinions and plans involving her in case they accidentally blew the king up invading London. Kinda zany to think about the moustache villain actively cognizing about someone literally alive until this week

So I have a question, when she was alive, could she had just retired, why didn't she? What would be the ramifications if she did?
Anyway all my best to my English friends. Sorry for your lose.

There's no retirement for a British monarch. Edward VIII, her uncle, abdicated (gave up his position as king) and it caused the biggest scandal in British political history. The only way she was going to pass on the crown was death.
