Might be a hot take but Tony kinda needs to learn to shut the hell up at this point. He's been making himself look worse and worse ever since Vince stepped down. And last I checked, at least WWE has their locker room in line and aren't letting talent go off on their EVPs during media/press scrums, leading to a backstage brawl that people talk about for 54+ pages.

I just thought it was funny. So do I. I'm just commenting on how I know that WWE fanatics will lose their minds over that tweet.

The demo being up is honestly the more important thing as far as the network is concerned. WWE's probably happy about that, too, but having fewer overall eyes on the product is never great, especially considering toys, games, etc, are a big part of the company's overall income, too, and not just television. Still, not unexpected in the football season. Everyone gets a big bite taken out of them by sports. It's not that serious, honestly.

Well both his football teams won this weekend and both his TV shows have broke million dollar gates for the first time this week so I think some gloating is fine. I get he says too much for some but man this is just a tired complaint to me.

In reality, since football came back WWE lost all the people who tuned back in after Vince was gone...so they're right back to where they were.

What am I missing here? What's the link between this and WWE's rating? Football's the reason the ratings have dropped the past couple of weeks and he tweeted it right at 4:30 which is usually when Showbuzz Daily updates.

What am I missing here? What's the link between this and WWE's rating? He's taking a jab at RAW's ratings falling because they were up against, and I cannot emphasize this enough: A very highly watched NFL double header. That's why their ratings were down last night. Ratings are likely going to increase next week because there are no more Monday night double headers for the rest of the season, and after next week's game, there aren't going to be too many really big NFL games.

It was a joke tweet and The Jaguars also won this week by shutting out a team people thought would kill them The guys in a good mood, people take too much stock into his tweets, especially this one. They both take playful bites at one another, it's the nature of the beast

Using this tweet of all tweets to go off at Tony Khan about AEW is a huge yikes imo. The dude is tied into the NFL, his father owns a team, he made a joke on Twitter, none of that should correlate to things CM Punk did or that incident, that's just dumb imo People are way too wound up into what one side or the other says, we can simply chuckle at a tweet and move on without it becoming some diatribe about CM Punk's drama or what AEW is doing right or wrong. The joke quite literally was Football is the reason they took a hit, I don't know how much more self aware you can get yet it's still an issue apparently.

In reality, since football came back WWE lost all the people who tuned back in after Vince was gone...so they're right back to where they were. Granted, but it stands to reason the drop might've been worse without the pre-MNF, post-Vince bounce in numbers they've had. Still remains to be seen if the increase lasts long term, same with the recent bump in AEW's numbers, but they're still in a better spot now than they were previously...and yeah, kind of crazy they lost a chunk of the overall viewership but maintained their demo. Basically, I think WWE saw a bump thanks to being in the news following Vince's departure, and AEW's seen a bump after being in the news due to SCRUM drama, and both have a chance to capitalize moving forward but might also see dips as those big stories fade a bit from the public consciousness.

Man with executive level position in football team makes tweet about football, internet strange people twist themselves into strange shapes to find a reason why it's actually a coded message.

I personally don't really care, but I don't think it's that hard to realize he's tweeting about RAW ratings and that this isn't just a football exec tweeting about football. He didn't do this on a Sunday or a Monday or a Thursday. He did it shortly after RAW ratings came out.

TK should probably just chill on poking the bear. There’s all sorts of chaos going on in AEW and all that this will do is fuel HHH’s ruthless competitiveness. Potentially good for business/fans, potentially bad for Tony.
Ultimately I doubt that most anyone outside of us on wrestling boards really care though. There’s only one way to settle it: Raw vs. Dynamite head to head!

I might be enjoying AEW’s product right now, but Tony Khan is in no position to be taking jabs at WWE right now, playful or otherwise, the media scrum and everything that went down after proves that he has absolutely no spine at all and needs to learn how to grows some balls and run a locker room better before even thinking about taking jabs at a major company that’s been around 5 + decades when he’s only been in the business for 3 + years. He’s virtually still an unknown in the business so these little jabs are making him, and AEW look really bush league. So basically, Shut the f*** up Tony
