No no. My point is, ROH has had many "sports entertainment" champions. But by saying Jericho "goes against everything that ROH stands for" that they're kinda giving into the stereo type of "2 guys who do flips and moves but have no charisma" That's not the point of the angle. ROH is the "honorable" promotion for younger and overlooked talents to rocket to stardom and get the shine they deserve. Jericho is an international superstar with the ego to match, and he's cheating asshole who only went after the title to outshine his phenom of a protégé. They've even put the "sports entertainment" shtick on the back burner now that Hunter is in charge of WWE. Eh. It's not coming across that way.

To each their own but the fact they constantly talk about how Jericho is thr antithesis of what ROH stands for, how in both his title matches he cheats and how they keep pointing that out on commentary as well as how Daniel Garcia keeps telling Chris he's too good to cheat

I like the idea of Jericho wrestling former ROH mainstays on AEW TV until they can get their first show. I also think that this is proving that Jericho has a great future as a trainer when he's finished in-ring. He's one of the first guys I'd look to train with if I wanted to be a pro-wrestler. Jericho could charge a fortune to train and he’d be absolutely in his right to. That’s without knowing all the inner mechanics but look at the man’s longevity and success. Especially compared with his peers. Dawned on me last night, back back in the dizzay, when “who’s the best in the world?” came up, Eddie, Benoit and Angle were always brought up and Jericho was kind of pushed to the side for them. Crazy how shit unfurls. Yeah, dude outlasted all his contemporaries other than Misterio, and has had a legendary career to boot.

Alright, who else is Jericho going to defeat as champion?
Here are the former ROH World Champions in AEW:
Claudio Castagnoli Bryan Danielson Samoa Joe Jay Lethal (who said his dream match is against Jericho) Adam Cole Kyle O'Reilly Rush Dalton Castle Christopher Daniels CM Punk (could be retired and/or problematic now)
Former Champions on the Indies/Impact:
Bandido Jay Briscoe Homicide Davey Richards Jonathan Gresham (might be retired - don't know and don't care) Matt Taven Eddie Edwards PCO
Problematic (but technically available): Austin Aries Michael Elgin Low Ki
Former Champions in WWE: Cody Kevin Steen Tyler Black Roderick Strong
Retired/Deceased Champions: Nigel McGuinness Takeshi Morishima Jerry Lynn James Gibson Xavier
I don't know how long this run will go, but maybe we should have a tracker.

Jerry Lynn works for AEW so I can see Jericho getting some more heat on himself by taking out Lynn, the way he did with the ring announcer.
Homicide would be fun for one night, especially as he's appeared in AEW before.

All of them.
Imagine they got Phil back for one more March to job to ROH Champion Chris Jericho

Kyle O'Reilly is out injured after neck fusion surgery, so he's probably not going to wrestle Jericho for the title. Cole might miss the window too with his injured shoulder.

Most likely options: Joe and Daniels I would live for a Jericho vs Dalton Castle title match, that would be f***ing amazing just for the personality battle alone and the match would be good too Jericho could face Homicide just to dig at Kingston more, if they still wanna do that. Davey Richards getting a nod on what has essentially been his semi-retirement tour would be cool. Eddie Edwards for Impact crossover is possible. PCO would probably be cool to see him and Jericho go at it, could have Danhausen shenanigans too. No doubt in my mind we're getting a segment where Jericho lays out Jerry Lynn

Yeah I think that Jericho will shake Lynn's hand backstage, get his goons to jump him and then have another goon wearing a ref shirt count the pinfall.

Outside of Rey, Y2J & Ultimo, is there any of those Cruiserweight/SuperJrs. of the 90s still wrestling full-time? Taka?
