Yeah. Look at how they capitalized on the heat by having Eddie get his payback tonight.... ... Right? Not every AEW storyline is immediately followed up on the next show. Might be a Rampage vignette on it, might be next week. They were kind of dealing with a depleted roster this weel as is, Kingston might not have been there.

This was a weird week. I doubt Eddie never gets any follow up. Let's see how it plays out next week. Sammy is wrestling so if Eddie is there, I'm sure something will happen. They need big matches for the two Toronto tapings.

My apologies I did not know that.

Good news: Eddie Kingston vs. JAS is finally over.
Bad news: Eddie Kingston lost to Ethan Page and has been a Dark fixture for a while.
"Wait and see", guys!

So you blatantly ignored the match he's about to have with Jun Akiyama on TV to be negative about this? Cool. Glad you revived this thread for that. This "be beyond negative about AEW wrestlers and their careers" shtick is beyond stale.

I don't really see how, "But he's doing another random TV match against a special drop-in guest most of the crowd probably isn't even aware of, like he's been doing on-and-off for a few months anyway!" is supposed to be an argument that Kingston has forward momentum.

Doesn't mean he has negative momentum when it's a big time match and has been a dream match of Kingston's since he started wrestling I don't see it as a reason to say Kingston's career is dead either or he'll never amount to anything.

True. And I guess being in the, "Guests come in and wrestle you in inconsequential highlight reel matches," spot isn't the worst position in the world in AEW because Moxley was trapped in that cycle for awhile.

I’m surprised Eddie’s not going after Joe for like the ROH TV belt or something. Something for him to do, I can see Joe putting him over and he’d likely be over in both brands since he’s a wrestling journeyman.

There's a part of me that thinks Jericho retains on Saturday, and the blowoff to the whole thing is Jericho/Eddie for the ROH World Title at Final Battle.
Even through the absolute saga that has been this feud, there hasn't been a definitive end yet. Maybe it was dropped, but maybe they wanted to separate Eddie and Jericho for a bit before setting up the end of it all. I think Eddie winning his first world title would be a nice moment and might just make all of this worthwhile.
