It moved almost 1000 tickets in a week We still have a week to go Grand Slam had over 11K by showtime, I think WrestleDream will be ok For Grand Slam, they literally had to offer buy one, get one free to move a lot of tickets late on.
They might offer deals here, they still have a week They also offered tickets for a pre-show thing for Grand Slam that moved a lot. They moved almost 1000 here off of new card announcements, it's looking ok, but they still have a week to do more

Considering you could fit 12-13 thousand in here for wrestling, it's sad that this is struggling to sell tickets with how good the card is.

Think they could’ve given MJF a world title defense on the card instead of a tag title match against a random team.

This tag match is something I expect to see on a random Dynamite or Collision, not on a PPV.
Your hottest act and current champion should not be facing a ROH tag team on a PPV you're asking people to spend $50 on.
If WWE did this with Roman and had him in a tag match on PPV facing a tag team from NXT, people defending this would be ripping WWE's booking to pieces saying how bad it was.

As things stand this is on course to have their lowest attendance for a PPV in a long time.
It really shows that AEW does have a problem with selling tickets and something needs to be done about it. Specially when they are planning to run monthly PPVs going forward.

This really does feel like a pricing issue...I attended SmackDown in the YUM Center for $40 a couple of months ago and just bought the same seats for the upcoming Dynamite in November for $80.
The novelty of AEW has fully worn off at this point. Especially with the economy the way that it is, price matters. And AEW seems to be conditioning its fans to just wait for a ticket firesale very close in time to the shows. Of course tickets are going to move slowly if that's the business model.

Yeah it’s one thing when you do that fire sale at one show but I think it’s effecting ticket sales everywhere now because most are just waiting it out to get the mega deals…

Both previous times AEW was in WV I was pretty immediate in buying tickets but at this point if they swung this way a third time there is no way I'd buy them the day they were put out. No point in it because 1), there'll be tickets available the day of, 2), they'll be cheaper, and 3), the quality of AEW's cards can vary wildly but they always announce things in advance anyway. On every level it's more beneficial to wait for the last minute.

Im over here in the eastern part of SC/NC and hell I’d buy tickets on the on sale date if it possibly made them come around here at all on a semi regular basis…

It sounds like they got greedy with ticket prices in an economy that isn't as receptive to it. They'll have to adjust their pricing strategy and just offer cheaper tickets from the onset instead of needing to slash prices at the 11th hour.

I'd still be fascinated to hear how much is Aew and how much is their parasitic partners like Ticketmaster. Seeing as they're not financially reliant on ticket sales and don't have to answer to shareholders I suspect TK would rather a sold out hot crowd than fewer people paying more money. (Within reason of course)

I noticed that these price increases started to become a big problem after Jeff Jarrett joined the company as director of business development. Hes literally in charge of booking where they go, booking arenas, ticket sales etc

I don't know when they can shift the pricing on their events, but it's becoming pretty clear they're gonna need to
AEW's still a hot product, and it's been gaining steam since Wembley, but you can't be offering tickets in this economy that are reportedly like double what WWE's offering right now in certain venues
People just don't have it to dish out right now, and that's why the numbers look like this. It gives trolls ammo to say "Haha! People don't care about AEW anymore, it's dying!" when in reality they've just overestimated what people are gonna pay to see a wrestling event right now, and they need to adapt accordingly
Jarrett's been very good getting them into new arenas, but this pricing is making certain places rough to move tickets until they start knocking them down, and it's also setting a precedent you don't want of people waiting until you offer sales. Probably wanna fix this before the year ends.

They really need to lower their prices and quick, there's a clear problem here. It's better to have a fullish arena paying less than overcharging and getting less than 3000 people.
For this Collision show in Utah, to hide that amount of empty seats, they will need to turn the lighting right down to the point the arena will basically be in darkness.

Saw a tweet yesterday that reminded me of some of these ticket sold visuals with one side empty compared to the other.

They were only in Pittsburgh at the end of April, and we all know how much they visit Chicago.
