If EB ran AEW (for arguments sake let's say the company just started so it isn't a burning-down mess just yet), he'd have filmed vignettes of an Ariel Helwani impersonator wetting himself or something. "TK should have left it" is fair coming from most; from Bishoff there's not enough glass-houses in the world...

Also the whole "I've heard from people in AEW that Tony does coke but I don't believe it because I don't believe rumours" is some actually pretty nasty rhetorical sleight of hand to get that first part of the sentence trojan horsed into his point.

In this instance, the thing he has actually done is... very briefly appear on WWE TV around a PPV in his hometown. So the reaction has been pretty irrational, and he's clearly living rent free in Tony's mind. You forgot the part where Ariel called AEW fans "freakazoids" after the TK interview, continued to complain about said interview long after it was over, and said that people were "lying" if they thought AEW was better than WWE. Not to mention the fact that Nick Khan is Ariel's former agent, so there's already a conflict of interest there between WWE and Ariel. But whatever, Ariel is living rent free in TK's head for no reason whatsoever. I didn't say it was for no reason. He has reasons - but a billionaire spending his Friday nights getting mad at a guy standing in the crowd of another wrestling show (when he has a show of his own running that night) tells its own story.

The thing with whataboutism is that it doesn't count when someone literally barges into the conversation and goes "HEY GUYS WHAT ABOUT ME" because that's him opening himself up for it, not having his name pulled out of a hat.

Sounds more like personal bias than it does any sense of impartialness when they quite literally have done some of the same things as pointed out by the whataboutism. Bit peculiar to state that a man as prominent as EB barged into a conversation as if he isn't asked or expected to comment on pretty much anything wrestling related.

Sites are picking up on Bischoff commenting on this now: “I was disappointed to see that. Look, I’ve heard a lot of the same rumors and I’ve heard them from people that are in AEW, to be blunt, and I don’t put any stock in them. I think it’s bad for him, no matter who you are, unless you were sitting down and watch someone, anyone, actually doing something, whether it’s snorting a line of blow or, you know, beating their wife, or whatever, unless you witness it with your own eyes, shut the f**k up.”
Bischoff thinks starting rumors like that is a bad reflection on the person and he doesn’t listen to that type of talk.
“It’s just bad. Bad. You don’t want to do that to people. I’ve had it done to me. There’s no reason for it. Tony is inviting a lot of this criticism. He acts like a petulant child in the way he responds, and his response to Ariel in the crowd was a petulant child whose feelings were hurt because somebody took his toy away from him. I mean, it’s just so absolutely childish. I think that’s a reflection, at least in my mind, of who Tony Khan is. He’s immature. He is a child with a vanity project. He’s passionate.”
Bischoff stated that he’s not taking that away from him, but thinks the way that Khan reacts to things further gives off a negative impression of who he is.
He added, “Tony should have never reacted the way he did to Ariel being out there.” Pretty much what a good few here are saying really. A mess all round.
Bischoff was 57 when he tweeted that.

Bischoff is opening up a whole can of worms though saying that he has heard the coke rumors from people INSIDE of AEW. That is about as close as you can get.
Thats as credible as Konnan saying the AEW locker room wants him to be AEW head booker.

I was saying Bischoff was opening a can on himself...Those backhanded comments were my biggest issue with his statement as others pointed out. He slid that in.

I've never seen Tony Khan with a leather jacket on TV, so Eerie E automatically won. But maybe the snowman can be accompanied by the Yetay, that would catapult him to the top.

Like all these old wrestle guy podcasters comment on literally everything going on in wrestling for attention and promotion for themselves so the "barging into the convo" is pretty accurate, it's not some burden bestowed upon them to be asked about current wrestle events, they rely on it and their wild Controversial™ hot takes to keep engagement up like

If the worst rumors about Khan are that he does the occasional line of coke then he's doing all right in the grand scheme of wrestling bookers.

If someone asked me for comment about the guy who threw up at the mall and I was wearing a t-shirt that said "Five times mall vomit champion", I would simply not say something meant to implicate myself. Maybe be like "Hey dude look I know what it's like to throw up at the mall a bunch but you really have to think about what you're doing and how it looks. It's only going to do damage to your reputation and everyone who sees you pluck a bit of half-digested onion out of your beard after you left a biohazard in front of the bookstore is going to judge you forever and it's not worth it." If I said anything else, yeah, I would expect someone to go "Hey wait a sec weren't you the one who was mega hung over in the Joanne Fabrics that one time, wrapped yourself in a bunch of loose flannel 'for warmth' and then started gushing like some kind of lumberjack gargoyle fountain art installation?"

He's on his show laughing at Tony Khan.
Refers to AEW's fanbase that came at him as "freakazoids" again.
Feels bad for Tony Schiavone being thrown under the bus in TK's attempt to insult him.
Says he's not a wrestling journalist, he's an MMA journalist that loves wrestling and likes to talk to wrestlers. Doesn't cover WWE/AEW the way he does MMA.
Praises Cole for his jab on air.
Edit: Lots of wrestlers were laughing at TK backstage for the initial tweet. High fiving him for his response. Says his tweet "popped the boys"
Edit 2: Says he's done with WWE for now, but is open to come back if they want him. Jokingly says he'll even appear on AEW TV for the right price, and is willing to wear a "Fraud" t-shirt to move some merch
Edit 3: Asked if it's a work or a shoot with TK, Ariel says it's 100% real, says that's on Tony entirely, as he has praised the product several times since the interview and before. Talks shit about the Jaguars and Fulham FC.
