Speaking on Busted Open, Thunder Rosa confirmed her desire to immediately drop the title but Tony insisted that she would remain champion and he would run with an interim champion also. Rosa said it was an unfair situation, adding it was unfair that wasn’t booked or given the opportunity to explain the situation and thank them for the opportunity. When the question of why she didn’t go, Rosa merely adds she wasn’t booked to attend shows.

I think TK probably thought it would look bad if he had Rosa immediately vacate the belt when’s he did not do that when Punk got injured.

But it clearly caused frustration in the locker room.

Yeah, I've never liked the ''interim champion'' whether it was AEW Championship or AEW Women's Championship.  Felt kinda stupid to me and I understand why the locker room would be frustrated by that.

Despite some speculation that Thunder Rosa wasn't truly injured last summer, the former AEW Women's Champion has some receipts to prove otherwise. Speaking on "Busted Open Radio," Rosa disclosed that she underwent several MRIs — including one as recently as last week — and multiple epidurals to address her ongoing back injury. Initially, an interim championship was created in Rosa's absence, but after three months of inactivity, AEW President Tony Khan made the decision to have Rosa forfeit the AEW Women's Championship, dissolve the interim tag, and officially recognize Jamie Hayter as the lineal champion.

Thunder Rosa is quickly approaching seven months of being away from the ring, and many were hoping to hear an update on her medical condition. Today, Rosa revealed she is still not cleared to compete, but whenever she is, she has one objective in mind. "I want to make sure that I am able to work with everyone, regardless if we have any issues or not," she said, referring to previous reports of a real-life disdain between herself and Britt Baker. "At the end of the day, I'm booked to wrestle."

Rosa continued to emphasize that there was "no storyline" between Baker and herself right now, but that doesn't mean they can't create one when Rosa returns. "Every morning and every night before I go to sleep, I pray to God that when I get clear, there's one thing I want to do and one thing only. And that is, not to get the championship or the TBS or the Women's Championship," she continued. "But there's one thing, and settle this in the ring for once and for all, and that's to wrestle Britt Baker and show the world what a real professional wrestler is," Rosa said.

Different feud, this one would have the addition of ''shoot'' type feud between them (plus, IMO, we DID get a great match between them when Rosa won the title).  And, personally, whilst I don't think it was a GREAT feud, I don't personally feel it was awful.

Again, that's just my opinion of course , whether they go with a feud between the two only time will tell.

You mean the 2nd one, the first one(late 2020 to early 2021) was about Britt hating Rosa for being outsider and she was jealous that someone from another promotion was on the spotlight instead of her.

I assume you mean the second, and that was awful because Rosa was busted and they were pushing through it, as Rosa even indicated in her comments.

Kinda sucks if they start a feud up soon again because Britt herself now really sounds like she needs a break.

It was reported that both women cleared the air and made up a couple of months ago and since then TR has been back in the fold doing Spanish commentary so probably sees Britt backstage often.

Still being sore about it in interviews is I presume setting up a match/angle when TR returns which is a little strange as Britt hasn't been face for very long but rather that than clear the air being the "clear the air" meetings that Bret and HBK had where a brain-fried HBK would walk away thinking everything had been sorted out while Bret was seething inside.
