So.....what's Thunder Rosa's injury?

I think it'd be a pretty interesting dynamic with a heel Rosa and a face Britt. Whether or not that involves joining the Outcasts, I don't know. It could either give the Outcasts a nice boost or saddle Rosa with a dead weight angle.

On the latest "Busted Open Radio," former AEW Women's Champion Thunder Rosa cleared the air on a few things that have been said about her in recent months. Rosa talked about her injury status in AEW as well as the accusation that she doesn’t show up at TV:

"I've been going to AEW for over two months now. I'm doing commentary now. That's my new position. Again, I'm going to talk about my injury. I'm not cleared. I have not been cleared. There's more things that have happened in the last couple weeks. I've gotten in the ring. Unfortunately, that pain is still there and it's very frustrating because I want to get in the ring and I want to do what I do best, that is, you know, wrestle and to get that opportunity again, if life gives me that opportunity to be able to do things. I know there's been a lot of controversy in the last couple of weeks and Thunder Rosa has been trending on Twitter, which I don't know because I don't use Twitter, but I get constant messages from my friends that I am number one trending on Sunday night. It's just so weird. I know we have All Access, which has stirred a lot of the stuff that I tried to put aside because it was very painful.”

"First and foremost, I want to make sure that people understand that at the beginning of all this drama, everybody was speculating that I wasn't hurt. It started with that. Then it was proven that I was hurt. There's MRIs. They talked to my doctor. I had multiple epidurals and until now, I'm still not cleared. I had another MRI last week, and the pain is still there. Third of all, me personally, I wanted to drop the title the day that they told me I couldn't wrestle because I was gonna be out for four to six weeks. My boss made a decision. He said, 'You are going to be the champion and we will have an interim champion.' I wanted to make it, for me as a competitor, I wanted to make it fair so my peers had an opportunity to defend the championship because it wasn't fair that I wasn't there, and I wasn't going to be there, and I was going to hold the title. I think a question that was raised was me not showing up. I wasn't booked to go there. When I got the news that I wasn't gonna keep the title, it really caught me by surprise, like, 'Oh, today is the day.' I wasn't able to go. I wasn't there to be able to get in the ring and say, 'Guys, unfortunately, we made a decision. Here's the title. Thank you very much for the opportunity to let me represent.' That opportunity wasn't given to me."

So Rosa was at first going to be out for like  1 1/2 months so making an interim champ wasnt exactly a bad decision but then Rosa injury got worse and worse...

In retrospect, Rosa denying that she was hurt at first (despite it being obvious just watching her that something was up) was perhaps not the right move.

Dave Lagreca asked Tony Khan about the Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa issues playing out on AEW All Access and he said that he hopes to see them in the ring together again. Khan said the following about their situation:

"Well, we'll have to see," Khan said about the future of Rosa-Baker moving forward. Khan continued, "Thunder Rosa is not cleared to return to the ring yet. When she is, certainly we'll welcome her back with open arms in AEW and it has been an interesting situation. Some of that stuff, I think, should stay behind closed doors but that's where All Access does give fans a great chance to see what happens behind the scenes. So we'll have some more All Access taking a look at what happens backstage when Thunder Rosa comes back to AEW."

Khan continued, "I know that the locker room and Thunder Rosa at times have had some stuff. I also think that that should be largely between everyone that was in the room. There is a point of All Acess where I have to make a decision [and say] okay, this is as much access as anyone who is backstage would reasonably get. So you'll see me making some tough choices about what we do and don't show. I do think that in the future, Thunder Rosa is a great wrestler and has been a great champion in AEW. I look forward to having her back and she's done a lot of the things we would ask on the path to return and tried to make amends with some people but there are some things you can't amend. There are some people that are never gonna get along. There are some people that are never gonna be friends. Dr. Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa are not going to ever be friends and they are not ever going to get along. As for what the future is with them, I would say it's probably gonna be an intense rivalry for as long as both of them are wrestling. These are not two people that are ever gonna be buddies but it's something to follow for sure. Thunder Rosa, we look forward to having her back in the ring."

I had a tooth pulled and even with Novocain, that shit was painful.

I can't imagine doing it without some sort of numbing agent to mitigate the pain.

Britt and Rosa are a lot like Shawn and Brett in that they always have banger matches, but they don't like each other, and both of them sound like exhausting Prima Donnas

The division's ok and has plenty of depth, her and Baker both feel like they might need breaks soon at least from the ring

If she needs it, she needs it. She's early enough into her career, and is a mom, that I really don't want to see her doing anything foolish.

Of course, maybe it won't come to that. I remember Foley avoiding needing back surgery on bulging discs when the bulging went down on its own due to rest and rehabilitation. (He still needed to retire for the first time within a couple of years of it, but that was from his knees and head injuries moreso than the back.)
