I feel like they're going to respectfully let Pattinson play Batman one more time before phasing him out for the DCU Batman. The slate looks cool. Agree it's kind of weird that they're jumping right to Damian. I really liked Pattinson as the Bat so I hope they keep him on for as long as they can Also, if they’re adamant about vision being respected, you want to keep someone like Matt Reeves directing Batman movies even if those movies are out of canon.

It’ll be like Joker. Keep making giant box office and they can do what they want. No one cares that there is a separate franchise out there disconnected from the forced universe. And considering Gunn said stuff like that would he labeled as outside of the DCU, I don’t see a reason for them to drop that and the Penguin show. Also also, DID I HEAR A HAL JORDAN/JOHN STEWART LANTERN DETECTIVE SHOW?! BECAUSE YES!Yeah the way I see it…first of all how many times is Pattinson going to do it anyway? Three would feel like a max under the best of circumstances. So the next one will come out in 2025 and make a ton of money for WBD…and if they want a trilogy to finish off I can’t imagine an scenario where they say no…we don’t like money anymore. When the second one arrives there won’t even be a DCU Batman yet. Throwing a final elseworlds story out to cash out on the franchise seems like a no brainer if Reeves and Pattinson want to do it.

Now patiently for the Snyder topic to get bumped with all new stupidity. You know it's coming.

To add to that, if this 8-10 year plan happens to involve a Crisis movie of some kind and you’ve treated them well by that point, you have a Pattinson Batman cameo in your back pocket to have him involved in something.

Some very interesting stuff here, though the Wonder Woman thing turns me off. The Amazons are always the most boring part of any story involving her, I'd just as soon get that stuff out of the way ASAP instead of uselessly dwelling on it.

I liked a lot of what I heard. I'll elaborate more on my thoughts when I get on a real keyboard instead of fat-fingering it on a phone.

I want a movie where Batman battles a wizard in space! Is any movie like that being lined up?

I guess having a younger Superman but a Batman old enough to have Damian means I won't get any fun Supersons antics in my DC movies. They took it from me in the comics when they aged up Jon and now it's gone again, hahahaha.

"So as many of you know, DC has been disconnected in film and television for a long time."
Somebody clearly didn't watch Crisis on Infinite Earths.

I’m all in on the Morrison inspired movie. Looking forward to that. I definitely hope they keep Pattinson doing his thing in his own universe, The Batman was such a relief after what we had been getting for awhile.

So some thoughts:
I'm not as bothered by them jumping into Damien Wayne as Robin for Batman instead of starting with Dick as Robin. Dick's really known as Nightwing these days and it's easy enough to establish this Batman as someone who's been at this for awhile and gone through a few Robins. The important thing is that we're finally getting a true Bat-Family. Hopefully that means we get Nightwing, Red Hood, the Batgirls (Barbara, Cass, and Steph), and/or Red Robin (or whatever identity Tim Drake goes by).
There was apparently a Wayne Family Adventures miniseries in the works and I hope that didn't/won't get cancelled in the wake of the DCU shake-up.
Really curious to see who they cast as Superman.
I'm stoked we're getting an Authority movie. Great series.
Really glad we're getting a Supergirl movie based on the Woman of Tomorrow storyline. That's a pretty solid book. Also glad to see Gunn recognizes that Supergirl is a distinct character from Superman. As much as I loved aspects of the Supergirl TV show, there was too much of an insistence on characterizing her as Gender-flipped Kal-El instead of Kara Zor-El as portrayed in more recent comics and some direct-to-video movies.
Lanterns in a True Detective-style mystery has me really intrigued. I hope that it also means we see more Lantern Corps involved than just the Greens.

I'm just glad Robert Pattinson's Batman is sticking around; really surprised at how much I enjoyed The Batman.
Also the Henry Cavill stuff is definitely a shame, but I mean, it's nobody's fault that happened the way it did. If anything, Rock probably shouldn't have brought him back for that cameo if they weren't going to use him going forward, but whatev.

They took it from me in the comics when they aged up Jon and now it's gone again, hahahaha. I'm assuming that not all of these are taking place at the same in universe timeline. Not really sure about the Amazon show just how it was stated or the Waller show... as I don't think Waller is great as a main character herself... certainly not as the protag. Don't really like Authority being in the DC universe since they are a pastiche of the JLA so them being in the same universe is .. bizarre. That said f*** yeah Booster Gold, and Detective Lanterns. Creature Commandos also sounds like fun. And Horror based Swamp Thing with Gunn involved in some way... sounds f***ing awesome. I also do like the Elseworld's titles on the not slated titles.

That's the thing, Rock had every intention of using Cavill going forward, but it was completely dependent on Rock getting the top job instead of Gunn. Considering we could have been looking at the Black Adam Cinematic Universe, I can safely say Gunn was the better choice by far.

Wasn't aware of the Damian thing but I find that eyerolling just because Damian himself blows as a character. Way rather have Tim.

Woah, I missed all of this.
The HBOMax stuff sounds interesting. But the films sound pretty dope. Particularly the way the Superman and Batman movies were described.
