So I’ve now read two different spoilers for the ending now and both are way on different ends of the spectrum. {Spoiler} The new rumor is that Cassie gets Hope and Lang out and Kang apparently perishes leading to the council of Kangs being pissed the Avengers murdered the variant they banished. Also apparently there’s first footage of Loki and Mobius encountering Victor Timely.

Critics are really not liking this one. Quantumania currently sitting at 55% on Rotten Tomatoes, the second lowest of the entire MCU (lowest critics score is Eternals at 47%).
To put that into perspective, the first Ant-Man is ranked at 83% critics score, while Ant-Man and the Wasp, long argued the weakest film out of Marvel's Phase 3, sits top of the pile at 87%.

More like Can't-Man, maybe, at this point.

Good sign that Magic Mike Last Dance or Avatar 2 tops the box office this weekend?

Good sign that Magic Mike Last Dance or Avatar 2 tops the box office this weekend? Nope. For comparison, the previous Ant-Man movies opened on $57 million and $75 million domestically.

Yeah, I have a hard time believing that no matter how bad a Marvel movie is, it's not gonna take number one its opening weekend. It might underperform that weekend, it might drop like a stone the next weekend, but it's still gonna win the weekend itself.

Trailers, word-of-mouth, brand loyalty, and audience goodwill are far bigger factors in how well a comic book movie does. The MCU has brand loyalty and audience goodwill in spades, and seems pretty resistant to bad word-of-mouth as well. Eternals, as maligned as it was, still managed to take $400 million while the box office in general was still in a pandemic slump.

The word it it’s the weirdest movie Marvel has made yet, and that might be the reason for some of the reviews

Even the maligned DCEU movies did number 1 in the box office their opening weekend. They fell off a cliff after, but they did great week 1.

Ant-man Quantumania will fall off the cliff in its 2nd week to a certain bear on drugs movie Short of Ant-Man being pulled from theatres, Cocaine Bear isn't posing much of a threat.

Seeing it today ..
Well currently going though a small heatwave and it would be nice to be in a ACed theatre for a couple of hours… and it’s my birthday month so I get a free small popcorn with the cinema rewards program (also have enough points for a small drink).

Yes, but what is the cultural impact of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania?
