Yes, I know — you can’t give everyone time every week with less than four hours of programming.
But it’s a pretty big fall from ‘splashy debut’ to ’30 seconds.’
It’s indicative of the women’s division as a whole. It’s specific to Saraya — can she not wrestle? I also don’t get, with the conflicting reports, why she’s not with WWE. Some say Triple H wanted her back, and was willing to let her wrestle. Others say differently. She’s having a really odd second act.

In the next few month she’s going to be Ruby Soho’d, the novelty of her being in AEW will ware off and she’ll just be another face on the roster getting little to no screen time. I hope it’s not true but history is definitely not on their side

For as much talent as they’ve added to the division, they still only get one match per show and then typically a few 30-second backstage promos.
The excuse used to be that the division was too thin to feature more, but that definitely doesn’t apply anymore.

She's been cleared. They're just building a story and certain weeks there's more time than others. I wouldn't read too much into it, tbh. To their credit, they've been doing more with the women lately. The overall roster still has some major bloat problems, but I don't think Saraya's getting harmed by it.

I don't think it's a big deal. They're building a match at the PPV with Britt and used last week to build to a much larger sit down segment this week that will likely set up the match. Every person doesn't need to be on every show.
As for what happened with WWE, Vince didn't want her so her contract wasn't renewed. Saraya wanted to try wrestling again and went to several doctors but WWE wouldn't sign off on her getting x-rays. So they basically considered it a closed case and wouldn't reconsider. Then Hunter came in and reached out to bring her back and was shocked when he found out Vince let her go as opposed to it being her decision. She was told they were open to her getting checked to see if she could go in the ring again but ultimately decided to sign with AEW in the end.

Until warner gives them more tv hours this is going to continue...there's a reason Tony is asking for an ROH show and a womens show.

Short, but it got the point across.
Her and Britt will have a sit down with Renee this week or next.

I hope it’s not true but history is definitely not on their side I just don’t understand why she’d choose AEW. By the time she arrived, the pattern of debuting specifically women and then forgetting them was well-established. Really curious if she had already signed with AEW by the time Triple H took over. I hope it’s not true but history is definitely not on their side I just don’t understand why she’d choose AEW. By the time she arrived, the pattern of debuting specifically women and then forgetting them was well-established. Really curious if she had already signed with AEW by the time Triple H took over. She hadn't signed when Hunter took over. Fightful mentioned that part of the reason she chose AEW was more freedom to take/make money from outside projects as well as the terms of the deal which I took to mean they offered her more money. I also don't blame her for choosing AEW even based on how they'd use her. It's easy to mock AEW for how they've used some women. But they have done a solid job with some of their signings - like Toni Storm. And WWE can be hit or miss. It's not as if Candice LeRae is being pushed to the moon since they brought her on. WWE also has a lot of women at the top as well. Were they going to push her over Ronda, Becky, Bianca, Rhea, Charlotte, Bayley (if they come back), Sasha, Naomi, etc? Plus they have their own midcarders like Raquel and Nikki that the seemingly want to push. Plus a lot of the talent they've had returned have just sort of been there. It's a bloated roster as well. So if you have some star power, you can potentially get more spot light in AEW if you play your cards right. She's about to have a featured singles match with arguably the top female AEW star on one of their four PPVs of the year. That's a good spot to be. And she's probably going over.

I just hope Tony gives these people other things to do backstage. That’s a lot to travel for a “what do you think about…?” Promo in the back

The women division is nowhere near bloated with the injuries they have right now.

There are not that many healthy full contracted women on AEW right now. WWE has more women now after their last signings and 40% of them pass their time in catering every week

Threads like this kinda make my head spin and make me question what people want. Saraya cuts a long promo and then does commentary? It's a disaster that causes a 20 some page thread and is also an "Indictment on the women's division". Saraya is then condensed to storyline beats where she builds a feud with Baker but doesn't take shine away from the other women, it's also bad and is "An indictment on the women's division" because she's not all over the show? And this thread totally ignores the fact she and Britt will have a sitdown interview in like two days on Dynamite? Which if you didn't know that fair enough but... it's happening
This is a big load of nothing, and some responses here are why I feel like it's impossible to discuss the women's division here at length sometimes.

In the next few month she’s going to be Ruby Soho’d, the novelty of her being in AEW will ware off and she’ll just be another face on the roster getting little to no screen time. I hope it’s not true but history is definitely not on their side Ruby's booking was because Ruby herself doesn't see herself as a top champion apparently, and is content with helping the younger girls and being an upper face act. You can disagree with that decision of course, but it explains a lot. She broke her nose on the All Out pre-show which means she's not gonna be around for awhile. Before that though? Outside of like one stretch of like a month and a half, Ruby has always gotten some sort of screentime, backstage, in segments, in matches on Dynamite or Rampage, whether winning or losing, Soho wasn't "Just another face" whether you think her booking is shit or not. But saying Saraya is just going to fade into the background or "She's just a novelty because she's in AEW now" is ridiculous. Ruby lost some big matches, but she has almost never lost the live crowds. Only time she ever did was because Statlander happened to be an even more over face in their match, which is just a compliment to Statlander.
