Jarrett has grown on me with his podcast. That being said, he will be featured on Dynamite for a few weeks and then will be relegated to Dark just like most AEW signings. ...you think Jarrett was signed as a full time wrestler? Yeah, I mean, I hate to sound grumpy, but anybody suggesting Jeff Jarrett's signed to go work Dark is making an argument in bad faith or just joking around. I can't take that seriously.

Anyone who thinks Jarrett won’t have any value are massively jumping to conclusions. Billy Gunn is a beloved part of one of the most popular acts in wrestling, Anything is possible. This is a good point. Billy Gunn's last major pre-AEW wrestling roles were a stale NAO nostalgia trip with Road Dogg and whatever the hell he was doing as Kip James. Now he's the most over he's been since 2000 because of this found family angle with The Acclaimed.

I'm happy for him, Double J always seems to find a way to land on his feet.

This may be a hot take, but I’ve come to appreciate Jarrett more as a performer. He can do great crowd heel work and has some of the best punches in wrestling. This is probably going to lead to a tag match where he takes a couple comical bumps for Sting. I’m okay with that, it’ll be fun.

Eh, I can take or leave the dude so long as he isn’t trying to play Nashville Triple H like he was in TNA through the early/mid 2000s. Jarrett getting his heat one night, then eating shit the next week and then moving on is a-ok.

Imagine he just went and retired on the money he's got or opened a Domino's in an old bank building

Old Man Indie-Jarrett strikes me more as trying to be Nashville Undertaker, what with the coat, hat, and "Last Outlaw" stuff. And I'm here for it.

I hate his stupid f***ing haircut and his shitty orange glasses and his silver shorts and his f***ing goatee That Jarrett hasn't been seen for at least 20 years now. He's dressed like The Undertaker or Johnny Cash now and plays some sort of Outlaw character that invades territories.

MMA Jarrett was one of those gimmicks that I didn't appreciate at the time. But now I look back on it and I love it.

I think if this is leasing to AEW having more house shows then Double J is the guy you want there.
He did well in that role in WWE and in TNA. Their house shows are some of the best live wrestling shows I’ve ever been to.
Anything more than that and you run into trouble because, as stated, his business sense is horrendous

So, this seems like Jarrett was hired for the corporate role primarily, but they realize he does have some value in front of the camera too. The promo kinda felt like it was picking up where Dan Lambert left off, but with a slightly different spin. We'll see what he does, but I do think he can help get some people and angles over.

I find it funny that after WWE hired an indy guy to grab the 'Last Outlaw' nickname for Undertaker since he had it trademarked, Jarrett's just been like "right, I'm having that" and using it all over with no objections.

I really wish he never would have done that Global Force Gold thing, because that soured me on him as a person. That said, hopefully not many rubes were fooled by it (thus little damage was done with his ripoff scheme), and I enjoy him as a performer, so there's that.

I do think he's a perfectly understandable (if still pretty questionable given he essentially has one short successful stint on his resume from earlier this year after a solid 20 straight years of f***ups) backstage acquisition but as a performer Jarrett's just utter death and always has been.
