If the Yankees get Otoni and Judge comes back, where does that leave Stanton, will they have to trade him?

If the Yankees get Otoni and Judge comes back, where does that leave Stanton, will they have to trade him? I been saying for years he should been forced to learn 1B. Giancarlo has never been a bad fielder, he's just brittle But he'd just have to find ABs. He'd play the OF more

There's a lot of people who deserve to be in there. If they decide to wait for a posthumous induction, then they may as well forget about it. It's just funny that MLB can look the other way while all these athletes double in size and are clearly on something...but they don't want to say anything because they're making a ton of money off them. But now they want to hold them accountable now? Bonds isn't a good guy, but he was a great player without steroids, a good player in a steroids era without steroids, and a great player on steroids when most everyone else was steroids.

I view Bonds the same way I view Arod and Clemons they were HOFers without the roids and they're HOFers with the roids. There are plenty of bad players who took peds, just taking them doesn't automatically make a player better. Like if you can be in the HOF yet were a murderer, rapist, racist, etc why is cheating the line too far? The Hall of Fame for any sport isn't about integrity it should be about who were the best of the best in their sport, players who for better or worse changed the game as we know it. Put an * on them or denote that the person was actually human garbage but could play extremely well I don't care how but you just can't erase them from history amd act like they were never there

Like he's an injury prone mid 30s guy with a big contract who also has a no trade clause. Stanton isn't going anywhere and you probably have the 3 rotate between who gets DH and who's in the OF

Bonds not being in the HoF is the biggest sham in all the HoF’s. Absolutely makes the entire institution mean nothing to me, just because a bunch of old writers hold a grudge.

I can do with or without it. On one hand, Bonds in his prime (both pre- and post-steroids) was an insanely good player. And if it's ok to let Papi in who used steroids, then it's ok to let Bonds in who also used steroids. On the other hand, no baseball star deserves to be treated like shit than the guy who spent his entire baseball career, even going back to college, treating other people like shit.

The number of players doing steroids was astronomical, so the playing field was even. And look at the number of minor leaguers, or guys that had 15 career homers that got popped. Bonds, A-Rod, Clemens, McGwire, Sosa, Palmeiro, and Manny rose to the top of a league that had everybody doing steroids. And let's not even get into the number of guys who were popping greenies that are in the Hall. Papi tested positive and he's in, he should be in. For crying out loud, Bud freaking Selig is in the Hall of Fame.

Mets winning streak was an illusion I see.
Justin Verlander had 6 walks in 5 innings.

Stanton isn't going anywhere and you probably have the 3 rotate between who gets DH and who's in the OF Yeah, Stanton has a no trade clause from the Marlins, which is another hurdle on top of the huge salary. Like only the Dodgers would be a realistic trade partner in terms of taking the payroll hit, and that's assuming they can give the Yankees enough assets to make it a fair trade and Stanton wants to go there.
More realistic to have him learn another position like 1B. Granted, I think the chances of the Yankees getting Ohtani are pretty low anyway so we're likely getting ahead of ourselves.

I wouldn't waste assets to trade for him for him to still hit FA and not come back You never want to waste a season but they aren't a championship squad as constructed. You are better off just outright trying to outbid everyone and sign him in the offseason

LolMets reigning supreme at Citi Field tonight. First they can't score a run with 1st and 3rd no one out. Now, they can't even catch an infield pop fly.

UrinatingTree with one of his annual traditions: laughing at the Mets via a roll-call of the roster I figured it'd be released back on July 1st because that's usually when he drops it when the Mets are having a shit year. But by the Gods, he did it anyway!
