So a few days late but Mets fans can I ask what the logic is in letting deGrom walk and replacing him with Verlander? Like ok I get there is a injury fear factor when it comes to deGrom but Jacob deGrom was one of the faces of your team a beloved member who will be younger then Verlander is now when that new contract runs out. And isn't it just as risky if not more to trust the arm of a 40 year old Justin Verlander? Jake didn’t want to be here anymore. Don’t think the Mets let him go |

Heyman says the Mets would probably sign Kiermeier if they miss on Nimmo.
That's a pretty big step back on offense. They better be signing or trading for a big bat if that happens.

I say this about Judge, if he leaves let it be for less, the Yankees can not be outbid, especially 20 million difference, what are we talking about?
But if he does leave, short term it will be hurt, but look at the 2001 Mariners and the 2019 Nationals, you never know losing a big time player and be better, so we will see if he leaves. And we have Otoni next year, and Soto 2 years from now, so there are possible replacements available in the near future or sooner if they are willing to stop hugging the dam prospects.

I actually thought Heaney was going to get more lol He supposedly had a few 3 year deals out there and was holding out for a 4th year I am guessing he rather take the upfront money and with a healthy year, jump back in |

Not bad for Bellinger, hopefully he can find his groove, no shift could do good things for him. David Ross was on live with the Marquee network when the news broke so he found out on live tv which was something to behold.
