So I don't feel so bad about the Red Sox' off-season, because at least we didn't have Aaron Judge for a few hours or Carlos Correa for a few days before having the rug pulled out from under us on both occasions. John Henry's message to the Giants:

it's the PHillies, he'll implode If he’s a closer in a do-or-die situation, he’ll be absolutely lights out. Shut ‘em down, 1-2-3 inning. But if it’s a non-save situation or if he’s a middle reliever, expect his ERA to hover around 6.00. I’ve never seen a closer quite like Kimbrel, who is nails when it absolutely matters but a complete puddle in every other situation.

I'm ok with the gamble, they needed a guy like this to replace Robertson and Kimbrel still proved he has juice in LA

it's the PHillies, he'll implode Didn't watch this season I guess where we had three different relievers be damn near lights out this season in the 8 and 9 holes. They literally had like one or two bad weeks the entire year, most improved Pen in the whole league, especially when they cut Familia and Norwood. Brad Hand was damn near lights out too any time he wasn't asked to save, all depends on the situations, and Kimbrel as our closer seems like a good role for him, we have a lot of good setup men these days.

Kimbrel still proved he has juice in LA If you can find one Dodger fan who thinks that I’ll buy you a steak dinner lol. He was absolutely dreadful last year.

His overall season numbers were okay but he had a career low strikeout rate and he didn't record his first one run save until August. Kimbrel is up and down and Phillies may catch him in an up year

Maybe the Giants weren’t crazy after all. You would think it is the back that give people concern but something must be really wrong with that knee

Maybe the Giants weren’t crazy after all. Can they void their deal if the physical isn't good?

Only thing is Cohen spoke on adding Correa so he will have egg on his face if he backs out Worst case scenario is they try to renegotiate like Giants were going to before Boras said f*** it

Truly one of the strangest FA sagas that I can recall. And I’d bet it ends up being much ado about nothing. I think Correa will be a very productive player for the bulk of whatever contract the Mets end up giving him

The Pirates deserve to be contracted for how blatantly cheap they are.

Benintendi is the largest contract the White Sox have ever given out? That’s surprising. Although I guess maybe it shouldn’t be given who the owner is (Bulls fans would know).
