I’m always a sucker for a homecoming. Plus, it's nice to see the Pirates get *something* god bless 'em. Maybe they'd get more things if the most of the profits made by the team and gained through TV deals, revenue sharing, etc. was re-invested into the team instead of Bob Nutting's pockets.

Oh, for sure, the front office of that team is garbage. Not as garabage as the Reds, but still.

Cubs convention is happening this weekend, and things have not gone well so far for Tom Ricketts on opening night, getting booed the second he hit the stage, and then when talking about the Cubs Hall Of Fame, the crowd breaks out into a super loud Sammy Sosa chant, which Tom goes "He isnt qualified" to once again...boos, and then announced the inductees of this years class are Mark Grace and Shawon Dunston and leaves as the crowd chants for Sammy again. I wonder if he will run away from the fans ask him questions panel tomorrow, or if the questions will be force fed to fans to ask by the staff.

Frankie Montas out for the first month of the season
Yankees still have a strong rotation but I can see them getting an insurance arm for the 5th man spot

I’m happy with the Cubs off-season. It wasn’t the huge splash most were hoping for. But the team is better than it was. Hopefully, they can stay competitive in a division that could prove winnable. Frankly, it would just be nice to be playing meaningful games into the Summer/Fall.

But at least San Diego's still mostly paying for him.

Marlins are showing interest in Aroldis Chapman Yankees fans: "No. Stop. Come back." Up until he showed his ass and walked out the door, I thought their was a slight chance Yanks could bring him back on a cheap contract hoping he finds that extra gear again But once he did that sucka shit, yeah adios don't come back. I would assume it is humbling for him to really not get any traction on teams until this point

The average age of an MLB fan is 57.
How f***ed is the MLB when the boomers die out?

The average age of an MLB fan is 57. How f***ed is the MLB when the boomers die out? Well the average American life span is like what 77-80 so MLB probably has about 20ish years to figure out how to attract a younger fanbase before shit really hits the fan.

Aroldis Chapman signing with the Royals. One year, $3.75m. Surprised there wasn’t more interest in him as a buy low option but he was pretty bad last season.

I’m sure a team would took a chance but when he walked out after being told he wouldn’t be closer in playoffs that really messed him up He’s ability does not match his attitude

But he gets injured all the time lately, can't control his signature pitchers worth a damn, and does really dumb things besides. Good riddance.

I like the risk, since Arraez should only get better with the shift ban and Lopez is a two-pitch pitcher who isn't terribly likely to break through to the next level. But I don't get why MIAMI is the one to take the risk. Their team isn't really in a spot to take that risk, and they're in a division with Philly and NY spending out the ass to contend. Keep the assets, bc the best Miami is gonna finish is a 1st round exit.
