Phillies continue to be the most frustrating team in baseball
Every time they have a convincing, legit win, they follow it up with something embarrassing, completely lifeless outings, and now if they won't win tomorrow, will have lost their 4th series to open the year already
This isn't going well, and the seasons not looked good out the gate. Seats gotta be heating up.

Alex Verdugo with the (delayed) walk off single for the Sox. Post game interview on NESN he's asked what he was thinking: "Please be f**king fair." Funny, I was thinking the same thing.

I have had it with Schmitt as well, but I tell you who I really have had it with, is this Yankee offense. Once in a while they will explode for 6 to 8 runs, but often it is this, 2 lousy runs. And it is all Brain Cashman's fault, he put together a lousy lineup with too many swing and miss guys and no clutch jeans. Can they be purchased at H&M? Macy’s? Do they have in a straight fit? I don’t mess with slim or skinny.

But even without them, it's baseball. It's a 162 game season, you're not gonna win every single one, you're gonna lose games against weaker teams. Don't sweat this so much, dude.

Mets lose but congrats to Kershaw on his 200th win. First ballot Hall of Famer for sure.

Lost in Alex Verdugo's post-game cussing was NESN's Dave O'Brien being so absolutely sure that was going to be a foul ball for the entire time it was in flight, despite it being maybe a 50-50 ball as it flew down the rightfield line. That's my long-winded way of saying I miss Don Orsillo.

He just homered again. He is absolutely destroying the baseball, right now. And a 5 hit nigh for Cody Bellinger. It’s early, but this Cubs team is a lot of fun Wisdom this year has kind of reminded me of Soriano where he just goes on a super hot streak and whatever he makes contact with will leave the park. Bellinger hitting ALOT is also very very nice to see, cannot wait for him to become a problem to opposing pitchers this summer at the federal landmark! Already have a ticket for next month for them vs Mets, and also a ticket in June and August as well. This team is ALOT more fun to watch than last seasons team, I still eye the last weekend of June for Mervis to be called up. PCA is also really hot at Double A this season which is nice to see. Yeah, it'll be interesting to see what they do with Mervis. He’s clearly earned a shot at the bigs. But they’re going to give Hosmer/Mancini more time to get it together. I think Hosmer is washed. But I think Mancinican be a useful part of this team. But, yeah, I expect Mervis to be up before July.

Scherzer ejected for having an illegal substance on his glove. That was a twist I wasn’t expecting.

Cubs sweep the A's which is what good teams should do, beat up on the bad ones! Cubs are 11-6 on the year!! Justin Steele has gone 11 straight starts dating back to last year giving up only 2 runs or less. Since July of last year Justin Steele is one of the top 3 pitchers in all of baseball!!
Patrick Wisdom continues to hit the cover off the baseball, and I know its only a small sample size but after the first 3 games this season Cody Bellinger is hitting like a man trying to prove something, so far a very smart signing by Jed and I was iffy on this signing at first.
Dodgers and then the Padres come into town starting tomorrow, I know we probably wont sweep either team but at least taking a series or at least staying above 500 after the series against those teams would be very very nice.

Judge kept Yankees in it all day with his plays
11-7 with a bunch of injuries and offense not taking off.

Offensively, the Cubs have been death by paper cuts. Outside of Patrick Wisdom, no one on the team has more than three home runs. But they take their walks and line the ball all over the field. They also run the bases well. It just always feels like there’s someone on base. I do think they’ll need to hit the ball out of the yard a bit more to sustain this level of productivity. But their pitching and defense may be good enough to make up for whatever offensive shortcomings that might arise.

This has to be the death nail on the city of Oakland and professional sports cause no team is going to choose to relocate to Oakland and I doubt some billionaire will want Oakland for an expansion team. Sorry to the fans yall deserved better

Dark day for baseball; said it earlier, but a city like Oakland, given the astounding history the A's have had there, should be an absolute hotbed for baseball. But the A's ownership has intentionally tanked everything. @#$% them, and @#$% MLB for allowing this to happen.
Meanwhile, in LA, we apparently learned that in some stadiums it's ok to cover yourself in vaseline, get caught, not wash it off, get caught again, then just wash it off, but it's very, very bad to have a glove with residual tape glue from the Pitchcomm in it that can get on your non-pitching hand?
