Here is hoping that the Coliseum doesn't collapse before the As leave oakland. Otherwise they'll either have to play all their games on the road or we may have to see a odd couple situation of the As having to play "Home" games in the Giants' stadium or worse having to play in Santa Clara's Levis stadium in a configuration eerie similar to when the LA Coliseum hosted Dodgers baseball for their 1st couple of years in LA or playing in the Vegas Minor League stadium.

It could obviously be just a good stretch, but Bellinger is kinda making an indictment of Dodgers hitting coaching to me lol. Whatever, still love that dude. The Dodgers turned castoffs like Justin Turner, Max Muncy, and Chris Taylor into All Stars. And their current hitting coach was on the staff for those. Belli might have just needed a change of scenery.

Blue Jays continue to be undefeated in series as they give the Yankees their first series loss.
EDIT: Nevermind....we lost the series to the Astros so we are not undefeated in series, but neither are the Yankees now.

Well dammit, would have been nice to at least tie the series with the Dodgers, but thats baseball, first series loss for the Cubs since the opening series against the Brewers. We need Morel and Mervis up ASAP!!!

The Yankees offense is in the shitter
They are getting pitching and stolen bases (that's new) but are 3rd to last in hits, last in doubles, and bottom 10 in RBIS despite being top 5 in homeruns

Everything else is essentially the same as last season. So basically all their hopes rest on Volpe turning into a star by October. Of course there will be trades at the deadline and Bader hasn’t played yet so maybe that’s premature.

The pitching somehow can only get better as they have injuries there but they are already pitching very well with I think a 3 ERA for the team The offense is missing Bader and Giancarlo. They need what they had last year when players were injured but someone like a Matt Carprenter came in hot to steady the team. Volpe isn't hitting crazy good yet but he is bringing a spark plug. Would rather have Jason Dominguez up there than Willie Calhoun Season still early and they will heat up with the weather but they look desperate right now which usually falls in the hands of Aaron Boone looking clueless

Even when Stanton comes back, you can’t expect him to go on a Carpenter-like tear. It takes his months just to start hitting again after injury. Main thing that needs to happen is for them to clip Donaldson and Hicks from the roster. They’re clearly dead weight. Yet Cashman refuses to do so. Ego and mediocrity are horrible things to have in tandem. The Yankee offense is the same HR or famine, high strikeout profile it’s had for years and it’s yielded no titles, no pennants, and Cashman has no incentive to deviate from this path because somehow mediocre stewardship gets you a lifetime contract. Don’t look for a Dominguez call up anytime soon either. Dude is struggling in AA, hitting at .077 at this point. If Hicks and Donaldson were jettisoned, Andres Chaparro or Jake Bauers might be good candidates.

They basically got to rely on their in house options to get them out of a hole and someone like Cordero has done good enough to start the season but yeah having others like Hicks and Donaldson who bring nothing to the table and are actively just sucking away the vibe of the team Judge will go on his usual tear when he can’t be stopped for a month but right now they have no incentive to pitch to him. Rizzo, Gleyber and DJ have done what they needed to but everyone else hitting .200 and under is slacking

I am being dead serious, the Yankees are not going to win anything this year, hope for the worst. Last place finish, no playoffs, and a losing record, the one thing that always saved Cashman, the Yankees always have a winning record, and make the playoffs, they don't that, what excuse does Hal have to keep this bum this time? I think if that happens, Hal is going to have no choice but to plan his exit maybe a resignation, too much pressure for him not to, and for those that say that can't happen, two words "Joe Judge".

Who had the 2022 Dodgers getting their freak on during the all star game on their bingo cards? Max Muncy, Brusdar Graterol, Mookie Betts, Evan Phillips and Cody Bellinger all on the paternity list recently.
Also, great win from the Cubs tonight, neat little stat, the Cubs this season have scored the second most runs, given up the fewest runs, and have the larged run differential in the national league. This is not a 'fluke to win' type of team, Cubs are putting together so far a kind of sneaky kind of season kind of dominating the league. Also Nico Hoerner tonight extends his on base streak to 20 games! And Justin Steele has put up a 1.08 ERA since the 2022 all star break. Kid's future is looking bright. Work on extending him too.

Can we admit the Mets have an offense problem? Wins and loses don’t matter so much this early. But a lot of our wins revolve Around walks and the Alonso home run. They didn’t improve from their struggles that came to light down the stretch last year and it shows. A lot of our losses are due to not hitting. Like if they lost 6-4 or more often than being held to 5 hits or less I wouldn’t be concerned. The sp isn’t strong enough to win 101 games again. It just seems that every time we’re above .500 we turn off blinders to obvious problems

Welp Mets almost added insult to injury to the Rangers mess tonight. But they escaped an embarassing loss. Time to let Baty play everyday. I know it’s somewhat goes against advanced stats with lefty/righty matchups but I hate platooning when one player should clearly play everyday. If you want Escobar to play. Add him to the DH carousel.
