It's amazing how easy Tampa's April schedule was. Of their 26 games, 20 have come against teams who didn't make the playoffs in 2022 and figure to be bad again in 2023 (Detroit, Washington, Oakland, Cincy, White Sox, Boston). The only exception to that might be Boston, as I'm sure they'd be a playoff team if they were in the Central, it's just that they are in the East so they'll probably finish last. Against legitimately top level teams this season the Rays are 2-4 (1-2 vs TOR and 1-2 vs HOU). With that said, to go 19-1 against the bad teams is still incredibly impressive. If another team had that same 20 game stretch and went 15-5, we would consider that a great run, so 19-1 is crazy. Wouldn't shock me at all if 4 teams from the East end up in the playoffs. One wins the division obviously and the other 3 end up in Wild Card spots. The AL Central is ass cheeks so I doubt the 2nd place team in that division will be any good, and while I expect Seattle to be good by the end of the season, with the balanced schedule I'm just not sure they are better than Toronto, Yankees, or the Orioles (who look like a potential future dynasty if they get any pitching aside from Grayson Rodriguez). |

Oh boy Caleb Kilan is back in the majors and has showed the new things he picked up as a pitcher in AAA this year, mostly how to hit several batters with the bases loaded! Cubs down 5 - 0 in the first so far. Kilian has ZERO control!

Good lord, awful series against the Marlins,
Cubs only 4 for 25 with runners in scoring position, and left 24 runners on base overall. This shit needs to be fixed ASAP!! Call Morel back up, and seriously at some point they will need to make the decision on bringing up Matt Mervis. This team needs some help and both are just destroying baseballs at an alarming rate at AAA right now.

Didn't sweep them but winning 2 out of 3 at Houston feels like a big moment in turning this season around for the Phillies, as is ending April over .500 after that start
Now Trea Turner really needs to stop being absolutely god awful at the plate, it's seriously hard to watch
