I hope the Yankees have a losing season, no silver lining, empty ballpark, that would be best for them in the long run. We need that, that is the only way to wake Hal up, we need our own Miracle in the Meadowlands hit rock bottom moment. I know George was too reactionary and too quick of a trigger finger and that is not good, but no trigger finger and just not holding anyone accountable is not good either. Hal is horrible just allowing Cashman to have a job for life.

Cashman will still be the GM in 2040. I think that’s the depressing part for Yankees fans. There’s no end in sight for this.

You would think eventually Manford would step in and give a intervention to Hal, this is one of your model franchise in the sport and to allow this clown (am I referring to Cashman or Hal, does it matter) to run it to the ground is not good for baseball.

Normally I would kvetch about how pretty much every time the Guards play the Yanks and win, the reaction is invariably "how did the Yankees lose?" versus "how did the Guardians win?", but last night, yeah, Boone definitely handed that game over to Cleveland, not that I'm complaining.

Lineup's also waking up a bit (Baty and Alvarez getting more comfortable can be a huge development), and they're about to start a string of games against teams they really should beat. Time to make a move up the standings, prime opportunity they can't let pass them by.

Cody Bellinger has now reached base safely in 19 straight games, dude so far has been crushing it this season. A nice .305 to start this season. Either Cubs extend him for at least 2 or 3 years only, or they trade him at the deadline for something nice.

I thought they were waking up after the west coast road trip, and then bats went dead again, so wouldn't say they're waking up till we see more consistency

The Oakland Athletics have always had terrible attendance, at least since the turn of the century. This isn't some new phenomenon. It's just being highlighted more obviously now because the team basically has one foot out the door.
