Severino out there taking the beating of a lifetime. I guess when the opposition's lineup boasts a couple of ex-Red Sox players who used to tee off on him regularly, this would be the likely outcome. On the somewhat plus side, both Donaldson and Stanton homered in their return to the lineup. A lone bright spot on what will likely be the wrong-end of an asswhpping for the Yankees. Surprised the ass whooping didn't come sooner He pitched okay his two previous games but was shakey but an experienced Dodgers squad was not going to let him get away with this one. |

Really really don’t know how Showalter expects to win with both Vogelbach,and Nido in the lineup. Granted Vogelbach drove in the lone run today, but come on. I know catchers need their rest days, but why not try to DH Alvarez sometimes?

Ok, who had June 2nd in the "When does Chris Sale go on the IL?" pool? Sucks, he was pitching well but his body just can't hold up. And to add further insult to injury, Nathan Eovaldi and Michael Wacha were just named AL and NL pitchers of the month respectively. The Red Sox let both men walk last year for nothing. But we signed the corpse of Corey Kulber. Screw you John Henry. |

I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop on Jon Gray. Had a career 4.51 ERA (granted, Coors factor) and this year has a 2.51. Unless it's some Rick Porcello BS year. Eovaldi was helped by leaving Fenway which is a bandbox. |
