Keep rocking it, Giants. Undertalented but just keep playing. Kapler rocks. Farhan doesn’t.

The Oakland A's reverse boycott drew over 27,000 fans to the park, all of them screaming to sell the team
They aren't gonna go down quietly.

Fisher and Manfred are shameless goons, but I hope they feel embarrassed every day for the rest of their lives

So, for shits and giggles, I decided to look up on how the savior Aaron Hicks is going down in B-More.
A robust .363 with 2 HRs and 8 walks vs. 7 strikeouts in about 35 ABs.
Sure, Hicks was a pile of suck after 2018, but I'm starting to think about Volpe's struggles at the plate recently. I get this feeling that Cashman has his inept fingerprints on every aspect of the Yankees' approach to hitting and pitching, which has essentially been the wrong kind, replete with injuries and underperformance. If Hicks can even hit in the .240s in his duration in Oriole orange, then it's looking more and more that it's Cashman and his analytic assholes who are responsible for said underperformance.
TL;DR, I'm going to blame Cashman for everything that goes wrong with the Yankees. Everything.

f*** public funding for professional sports stadiums. You're got-dang billionaires, fund it yourself, or at least give the city a very advantageous deal (pay it all back with interest, a cut of sales). Sorry if it breaks a board rule. Fisher and Manfred are shameless goons, but I hope they feel embarrassed every day for the rest of their lives Manfred's a goober, but don't forget he's just the mouthpiece for the owners. He's there to take heat from owners.

Bud Selig's legacy from his time as owner of the Brewers to the strike to all the shit he did (or didn't do) as Commissioner will forever be a black mark on baseball.

Man, I have no love for Oakland but I was really hoping the Vegas thing would fall through. As a person who almost lost his basketball team, fxxx John Fisher.

The Giants called up one of their big two young position prospects with Luis Matos. He’s 21, so the second youngest position player in the league. Kid was hitting nearly .400 in AAA before the callup.
Single in his first AB.

Oakland should used this gimmick a long time ago to sell tickets Yeah, not that I'm on John Fisher's side in any of this, but maybe Oakland fans would have a leg to stand on with this whole "This time we REALLY care!" reverse boycott if they ever actually showed up to support their team in the first place. Since 2006, the Athletics have been in the top-10 of the American League for home attendance once - in 2013. And that includes five separate playoff appearances in that time frame.

It is a Catch 22 as I think the ballpark plays a big part in that since that has been a shitty ballpark for years. Same with Tampa if it ever leaves and goes to another town because they can't expect fans to show up to a park that is way below par However, with that said it still is a 70/30 owner to fan blame proportion in regards to Oakland. Oakland is getting f***ed but y'all decide to show up now when the team is gone isn't really going to put a dent in things MLB has to be better with this shit but they essentially got a layup to take a team to Vegas instead of doing an expansion

The Cardinals and the Mets should battle in the "what the f*** happened to you" championship at the end of the season.

The Cardinals and the Mets should battle in the "what the f*** happened to you" championship at the end of the season. Like, I'm not even a Cards fan, and I'm baffled at what's happening to that organization this season. Like, with the Mets, yeah, this is a bad season, but they've always had their ups and downs. The Cardinals, though, are almost always a rock solid team that rules their division.

It is like the Spurs, at some point that great run does come to an end and you have to hit a reset to get another 15-20 years of consistency

The Cardinals, though, are almost always a rock solid team that rules their division. Our pitching staff was managed by a catcher who called the game as well as any catcher to ever play the game. He made up for a lot of the staff's deficiencies. Contreras can't. Matz we're paying to pitch poorly or not at all. We didn't replace Quintana. Waino is cooked. Flaherty is playing well, but it's a contract year and he's leaving. JoMo is also in a contract year and due for a noteworthy raise. And that's just one side of the ball.
